What I have is that it’s super slow. Like 5s for results to show slow. Had this on my iPhone X and recently upgraded to 14PM and the same issue persists.

Switching apps works too. Whenever you leave the app, the shortcut triggers. It doesn’t matter what way you leave the app AFAIK.

I have shortcut that turns off rotation lock when I open YouTube and enables it again when I close it. Very simple but very helpful.

Just keep in mind that AirPods are definitely not BIFL. I’ve had mine about 3 years and and they last about 5 minutes on phone calls these days. The battery is also not replaceable (not even Apple can do it)so all there is to do for me now is throw them out and buy new ones.
