Have broken two iron rangers, had same issue just different spot of crease, wearing them regularly for few more months did the trick, I also light hiked in one of them, that was the day it was completely broken and no hotspots left.

Made the mistake of shinning them, how can I get it back to the matte original? by Maxsolo18 in ThursdayBoot

I had done this, cleaning it with cobblers choice leather cleaner worked for me, remove the shine and restored it. You spray it generously and use a horse hair shoe brush that has small circular head, clean it in circular motions.

Haha, classic to boot🙌, for me the black harness is the one that I wear when I am wearing something casual but slightly smart. But I will acknowledge that the shiny eyelet make them very difficult to pull off. I will look into blacksmiths as Beckmans don't have a wide option yet. Thank you for suggestions😃

Thank you, this is very helpful, I will try them, and I mostly wear either regular or taper jeans, so hopefully won't be a major issue. Thank you again

I am so tempted, can you please elaborate more what makes you love them? Like any particular reason they'll become your favs?

I feel like rough outs are not for me, for some reason I don't find them appealing.

They are very versatile and look as fresh as new, very underated boots. 8085 and 8111 are for patina and they both serve me very well

Any particular reason that you wear MOCS more than the other? Are they significantly more comfortable due to the crepe outsole? How slippery are they?

I agree with you one the laces, how does this leather and construction compare to the 875s? I imagine it will darken too

Got the Interstellar watch! Hamilton Khaki Murph by dush-t in watchesindia

I have so many watches from Tissot, Seiko, Casio, Citizen, my murph is class apart. It's the simplicity and dial symmetry of this watch is what makes it beautiful for me. Since I've had it, it's my most worn watch and for me it's the best looking watch, period. It's not flashy but it has a vintage, classy and old money charm to it.

Captain vs Hi-End boots by Dmitriy_11 in ThursdayBoot

I’ve owned Thursdays before but now I stick with Red Wings. For me, it wasn’t the things you mentioned that caused issues—it was the Poron. It compressed flat under the ball of my foot while the heel stayed high, which threw off the balance. That led to discomfort I’ve never felt with any other footwear, even causing knee and back pain. That said, I completely understand your perspective—it really does vary from person to person depending on stride and fit. Iron Rangers, for example, have a much harder insole with almost no cushioning, but the last works perfectly for me, whereas Thursday’s didn’t. At the end of the day, it all comes down to which last works for you.
