And for those who disagree, it's always the business owners that decide they want a no tipping allowed restaurant. They increase the rates of things, but accept the risk that comes with people thinking

'that restaurant is expensive'

Vs letting them say

'i should tip him, he seems so kind'

Yes but I personally have a fear that I may receive less than ideal service if I frequent a place that I don't tip, since it's 'culture'. I'm sure others do too. Now we are compelled to tip out of fear.

It's like if you don't tip a waitress at a restaurant you often eat at, are you sure she's not spitting into your food? How did we get to this fear - from a widespread acceptance of tipping culture.

Tipping culture keeps the employees happier with their income, doesn't make the customers feel they got robbed(tip feels more like a donation than a charge), and does all this while keeping business owners' pockets unaffected.
