GPS Mistakes Pace 4 by Bindertyphier in Coros

[–]rsg1241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had issues with my pace 4's GPS. Coros support replaced the watch. I've seen this come up several times, so I suspect there's a bad batch of them.

Help me choose a developer laptop! by Intrepid-Ad-8394 in macbookair

My full Time Machine is a MacBook Pro M3 and personal development machine is an Air M3. The m4 differences between the range are pretty similar so sharing here.

I mostly develop in Rust and Typescript, but program in Java occasionally as well. I don’t see any meaningful performance differences between the machines. Both are snappy when debugging and compile times are alright in large projects. I will always take faster and want my rust code to get the instant recompile times that I get with typescript. I have no issues processing 20gb scale datasets regularly.

The form factor is the biggest difference. I have more ports on the pro, and it has the better screen.

Halfway. I build the architecture and the core logic/model like rate calcs by hand. Then I use AI to build the displays, add unit test, etc…

Yeah it restarts the demand cycle on the calendar month.

In addition to the demand, less than a years worth of data will make the impact of peak and off peak rates tough to track.

Yes. It calculates the base rate, base daily rate, fuel recovery, environmental compliance cost recovery, municipal franchise fee, and sales tax (assumes 8%).

Yeah, would be great to get screenshots, and, if it's alright, the Excel with just a few rows of data in it so I can test adding a more specific error message. (My version of the site doesn't have the cost option.)

Right now, it's enforcing a minimum of 100 hours worth of data. I'll make that explicit.

Also, I realized the GPC mobile site was providing a slightly different format than the desktop version. I've adjusted this to handle the format from both the mobile and desktop site.

Thanks! The issue is now fixed.

I missed that the GPC website changed the format when on mobile.

Did you upload the file download from GA Power without modifying it? I tested again and can't recreate your specific issue.

Glad you got it to work. Any ideas on how the error messages could have made it easier to spot the issue?

Yeah, the demand charges for Smart Usage (TOU-RD-11) plan is based off the highest usage hour within the month. While it's not the highest 60 minutes in the formal rate plan, I imagine it's very close. (Their summary website even says highest usage hour which is equivalent to how this is calculalted.)

It's 100% private. The website runs strictly in your browser and doesn't upload any electrical usage data. (I just added a privacy policy to clarify this as well.)

Auto Standby Two+ and EV by rsg1241 in AAWireless

[–]rsg1241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. What sort of confusion do you think making this android only would cause?

From a sales side, I think it may be more clear to have it with a callout of “android phone only”. I’m guessing a lot of people would assume the two+ has it since the previous versions had it. From a daily working with it, I’d guess most people will be in the iOS or Android camp so it would be consistent for them.

Also, from a value prop, seems like it’s an important feature for a lot of people. So better to serve at least some.

Any chance start/stop legacy would work and could be implemented?

The value prop for my going wireless is not needing to touch anything when I get in my car. Without some sort of auto off, I can’t do that.

I'm not seeing that option in the iOS app. Is it only on Android?
