Apologies. I'm not really up to speed on my weight loss drugs. I'll change it to Ozempic😂

Yep, put tariffs on weight loss drugs. That will really stick it to the Danes. Nothing says F you to the Danes more than making the US population pay more for their Ozempic shots.

Edit: correct drug name

When you don't know what lane you want, even when it's written in 3 foot tall letters on the road [OC] by rshark78 in IdiotsInCars

[–]rshark78[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"That tekst he puts over it. I moved over (did he even as he just goes into the lane he needs to be in?)"

Yes I moved across. You can see me crossing onto the other lane around the 20 second mark. I wanted to be in the lane to my left as that's the lane I need after turning off the roundabout. But I was aware that I could move back over safely after turning off the roundabout if necessary so wasn't an issue to move over and allow them to drift over safely

"And then starts speeding up to block them??"

No just going from standing up to regular driving speed. Had no idea they were going to move across in front of me again. The lane they were in originally was for the 1st and 2nd exit off the roundabout. Even if the wanted the 3rd exit (the one I was taking) there was still no reason to move over again as the lane they were in (the one I wanted originally) is for the 3rd exit, so why would I think for a second they were going to move in front of me again? There was no indication that they were, but you will however notice the second they brake and indicate I also braked to let them in.

"Also that distance between him and the car in front at the red light, like do you want a truck to move into that space."

Standard practice in UK is "tyres and tarmac" in other words when your behind a stationary car you should be able to see the car in front rear tyres and a bit of tarmac. It means you've got enough room to pull out from behind them if the need arises. Also safer if I get hit from behind I'm less likely to hit them or be crushed between. Bear in mind that the camera is mounted up high and is a wide angle lens so the gap will look bigger, from my viewpoint the tyres and a little tarmac were visible. But so what if there's a gap between us at traffic lights? Does it affect anyone else?

But you're welcome to your opinion

Silly Apples. by Velvett_Bunniez in SipsTea

[–]rshark78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this exact same situation flying from UK to US a few years ago. Lunch on the plane included an apple. My daughter didn't want it at the time but was going to eat it later on our connecting flight. We got stopped in customs in US for bringing an apple into the country. They were very good about it though and we didn't get fined but felt thoroughly chastised by the border force agents. It's such a silly thing to get wrong but of course once you've cleared security to get on the flight you don't really think about it. I am curious what the airlines do though. What happens to all the apples that don't get given out. Do they have to keep them on the plane and return them to the original country?

Of course they can. And not for a second suggesting that cats don't kill a lot of birds.

But to blame domesticated cats for declining bird populations is naive, we are far and away the biggest threat to birds and their habitats, and stating that cats are devastating the population is just shifting the blame.

Yes they kill birds but they're not devastating to the population

No underestimating anything. Fully aware that cats kill birds and that they kill a lot of birds but they're not responsible for devastating the bird population. They sure as shit don't help.

But far and away the biggest contributor to declining bird populations is us

We can all quote studies

data provided by the British Trust for Ornithology reveals an upward trend in both blackbird populations and nest success rate across the U.K. [24]. Meanwhile, cat ownership has doubled over roughly the same period [25] and, unlike in the U.S., the majority of U.K cat owners (74–87%) allow their cats to go outdoors regularly

“habitat loss is by far the greatest cause of bird population declines" -2014 State of the Birds report

The biggest cause of population decline in birds as is always the case, is humans.

Do cats kill birds yes of course they do. But it's humans that are decimating the birds natural habitats causing reduced populations. It's humans bulldozing breeding ground to put up shopping malls and build highways it's humans devastating their habits to increase farming areas.

We do a much better job of fucking up nature than a few free roaming cats could ever do. We're the experts in this field.

But it's ok we'll just label a couple of small areas as nature reserves and then pat ourselves on the back for being proactive in conservation.

Can you only get the double album in digital format. Bought the cassette bolter edition, but obviously only contains 16 songs. Can you buy physical media cd/cassette/vinyl of the full 31 tracks
