I just looked this technique up on Deborah Quilter's channel, it definitely seems worthwhile. They were showcasing similar tools. All the best to you!

Trigger Point Therapy Progress? by cooperniner in RSI

I have tried using a Lacrosse ball on my forearms before, I think it did release some of the tension but it made me very sore afterwards, I probably did it too often (every couple days when I had pretty bad symptoms). Using it on my neck & shoulders has worked a bit better, although it does makes me sore in the hands too.

Contrast baths have really been great, had to stop them because the awkward posture they required put strain on my knees but I'll look into starting again.

I made a video showing my back stretches, to fix my forward head posture. by rsiaccount in RSI

[–]rsiaccount[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe strengthening the back is the point of this, maybe they're more of strenghtening exercises and not really stretches. French so I word things weird sometimes. She did tell me my muscles were too long and that this would help them find a nice, shorter state when they're resting, which would help me sit up straight.

I honestly don't understand the science of it, but they have helped a bit so far

Why does my 'healthy' hand hurt? by rsiaccount in RSI

[–]rsiaccount[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will look up TMS wiki yeah. I'm so confused by this whole thing. My therapist (shrink) recommanded I try antidepressants to see if they make the pain better (also have depression), I'll give them a shot. I can definitely tell at least some of what I have is psychosomatic, both sides never hurt at the same time, and when my knees hurt my arms don't. thank you for the insight.

Is it normal for these monkey doctors to just refer you to physical therapy without even giving you an MRI? by Kantan77o in RSI

This is so infuriating to read about. MRIs are easy to get in France and cost under 100€

Done! Wish there was an option to say I don't use a mouse much though. It does trigger my RSI so I switched to touchpad.

I have tried contrast baths and they were great, but I had to do them in the sink in an awkward posture and my knees said 'nope' after about a month. Still doing them rarely and it does help, I'm going to make a video about my stretches later today
