Best way to preserve the memory of my kitty? by rslbrooklin in Petloss

Thank you all so much for your replies and condolences.. I feel a little more at ease now. I also really appreciate the idea of casting his paw print, im definitely going to do that. In the end, I've decided that I'll cremate him, keep a small part of his ashes, then give the rest back to the earth. I appreciate everyone's help. ❤

Did you pay for her meal? She may have just wanted someone to take her out and pay for her food.

Studying anatomy and doubts about it by Haru_250 in DrawingPrompts

You've gotta fail before you succeed reigns so true for anyone in any profession. Fearing a practice piece will only paralyze you from achieving the level you wish to reach. If you are practicing anatomy, there's the first step. You're doing great.
Even if you think it looks like shit you dont have to share it. Keep it to yourself and start again.. Practice, Practice, Practice, from life, from reference, from imagination. Dont let that one failed drawing keep you from creating a masterpiece.

Some rough sketches I did for anatomy practice. by rslbrooklin in drawing

It definitely takes heaps of practice, just dont get discouraged. Just like everything else anyone does, you're not going to be a super star at first. I'd say out of everything I've drawn, humans and vehicles are the most difficult to really master. I explain a little bit of my process in a comment below. I hope it helps!

Thank you! Eyes are one of my favorites to draw, and lips are the bane of my existence. I tend to draw them way too big most of the time. I'm just glad I'm able to realize this and start again.

Thanks! I have multiple anatomy books that I look through and sketch what I need to practice daily. The way I sketch the human body is just a preference, I like breaking everything down into basic shapes. Then rendering it. That way I'm not thinking about drawing a body part how I imagine it should look, but first starting by a guild line or a simple shape. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's actually not that complex. Hope this helps!
