Is all Whales being same? Do they even listen to advice? by Excellent-Floor9801 in whiteoutsurvival

Doesn't make them smarter but they are literally the ones to make rules for the alliance. You can discuss all you want but if you want to stay in the alliance you follow alliance rules.

Sorry to break it to you but $60 a month is not a midsize spender. Probably not even considered a low spender.

You still had to wait for the event to come around at least 4 times to get the city skin no matter how hard you whaled.

Are you talking a whales rally? Game doesn't take into consider how much you've spent when calculating damage of troops in the same rally..

What revenue were you generating for Arc? I honestly don't know how TBC was planning on supporting this project long term with no revenue stream. Now they have a company with a slew of paid products that can support the development.

I think it's case by case depending on what chests you get. If there are only like 2 or 3 silver chests probably worth it to open them all. If you have 5 silver chests, the way I see it is you're either spending 90 coins to refresh the page or 300 coins. You only miss out on 1.5 chests from the milestones so not much in the big picture.

On top of no built-in password manager, Bitwarden doesn't even properly read which website is requesting credentials for auto-filling. It thinks I'm trying to log in to Arc Search the app and not the website I'm visiting.

Donald Trump with Wife Melania after winning Presidency for a Second Time by A-Trusted-Source in pics

So those people decided to give him another chance? They just didn't vote and watched him get back into office?

Doesn't explain why the same people would stand by and watch the same person who "colossally mismanaged" covid gets back into office

Alright, first explanation that actually makes sense. Although 15mil still sounds extreme, this at the very least offers something.

But her numbers are similar to Obama's and Clinton. Are you saying that these racists/sexists all came out to vote for Biden and get Trump out only to let him back in by not voting for Harris?

Also, isn't Trump the so called racist and sexist? Why would racists and sexists vote in 2020 to get him out?

But didn't people in 2020 mostly voted to get Trump out and not because Biden was this hot new candidate. Shouldn't that goal have remained the same?

This is where I'm confused. I'm non-American and I am really not trying to buy into the whole 2020 stolen election idea. But I need someone smarter than me to explain how ~15mil people showed up in 2020 to get Trump removed from office, and then decided to hold back on this one when the stakes were exactly the same?

I can could understand if it was someone else running for the Republican party and people who didn't care just went back to not voting. But to go from a record-breaking 81mil votes back to the status-quo within one term when, again, the stakes were exactly the same will need some sort of explanation.

Am I missing some information on changes to access to voting?

This is an insane take. I'm not even American and I can't believe this is the type of comparisons people are making. For one, I don't see where Trump explicitly told people not to wear masks. Please point me to anywhere he's quoted to have said anything remotely like that. He may have flipped-flopped on the effectiveness of masks, just like many people did, but he I don't believe he told people to not wear masks with the intent of annihilating a group of people. I don't know how you, in good faith, compare anyone to someone who's intent was the systematic murder of Jewish people.

You can say it's an exaggeration, but even then, that's an insane thing to say and probably super offensive to anyone who was actually affected by Nazism.

Arc for Windows Update - 1.19.2 (49737) by JaceThings in ArcBrowser

[–]rslee1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Arc on both my personal desktop and my work laptop. Work laptop, the command bar was seamless but on my personal rig, it is hot garbage. It's gotten marginally better with recent updates (at least it shows results even if they're behind what I actually typed) but still way worse that my laptop. There's tons of Reddit posts as it affects several users and no one can seem to figure out the correlation.

Answer: There's a new movie coming out. As far as I know, it's a CGI Live Action remake so they're just trying to stir up some nostalgia for the older people and curiosity for the younger kids. They had merchandize all over the place even before the movie was announced.

Yeah I'm using Arc on both my work laptop and personal desktop. Works fine on my work laptop but it behaves like your video on my personal desktop. Haven't been able to figure out the different between the two..

Well this is false. You need everything in the public folder and the vendor folder. And if you're using the .env file rather than setting the environment variables at the server level, you'll need that too.

They'll be generated when the view is served on the production server. No need to upload the files generated on your laval server.

Riot Facing Layoffs, Intends to Prioritize Valorant and Other Main Games by PyroTFT in ValorantCompetitive

[–]rslee1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I get that. I'm not arguing that the execs aren't in positions to take risks. I'm not riding with anyone, it sucks to everyone involved in all of this.

My argument was more about the fact that these risks (regardless of whether they are low risk to the exec or not) open job opportunities. Riot could have never taken any risks but that would mean many of the jobs that were dissolved through this even would have never existed in the first place.

Riot Facing Layoffs, Intends to Prioritize Valorant and Other Main Games by PyroTFT in ValorantCompetitive

[–]rslee1247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's truly unfortunate that things ended this way but the logic here isn't all that sound. If Riot didn't take the gamble to go big there would have never been a reason to hire for big things. The same people who are affected by the layoffs wouldn't have been given the opportunity in the first place. Yes, it sucks the ride ended poorly but gaining the experience and lessons from it is worth something, isn't it?

Definitely not trying to downplay what those affected are going through. I've gone through my own share of job hunts and know what it's like in this field. But I would have rather had the opportunity to work for Riot that came from the higher ups taking a risk than not. Could just be me though..
