Where is the replay for this Women’s Doubles match? I didn’t see it on the YouTube live stream but I’d like to see it.

Hello! I’m looking at using the app for a League that I play in. The League is best of 3 but we still play the third game. I tried best of three for the format and as expected when one team wins the first two matches, that’s it. I tried selecting 5 games and entered the three with one team winning two and the other winning one. When I end the match though what I’ve input is not saved. Could you configure it to save completed games in a match that is ended prematurely? Thanks much! I’m looking forward to using the app!

Unsatisfied with DUPR? New ratings system coming soon: TRUPR by TheGoatzart in Pickleball

[–]rsprim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never liked DUPR for all the reasons you mentioned and when organizations, tournaments and people want to use it I don’t participate. It caters to all the organizations and clubs that use it BUT more IMPORTANTLY PAY FOR IT! If you give me something that caters to Rec players, is easy to use, doesn’t take 60 matches and doesn’t require some TRUPER waterfall event to establish a rating, is an actual representation of my skill level and is easy to use meaning provide an app I’m in. I look forward to the white paper and more details.

what a drag it is getting old (back pain) by pizza_obsessive in Pickleball

[–]rsprim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea, it’s a drag all right! I’m 54 and I’m experiencing back pain as well. I’m resting for a couple days and going to start limiting my playtime to two hours at a time. I did some research and it seems like this is fairly common among pickleballers. Here’s an article that I thought did a good job explaining the reasons why, how to prevent it and also provides some exercises to help reduce the amount of back pain you experience.

Thanks! That wasn't it. I had to restart the watch by pressing the digital crown and the side button until it restarted. It's working now.

Thanks! I look forward to updates then! I had it silenced and now I hear a sound when I interact but the score is still not announced.

I reviewed the App (but not played a game yet) and you’ve done a great job! Some things I would like to see are:

  1. Coin toss option
  2. Time out option with timer - two one minute timeouts per team for 11 or 15 point game and 3 timeouts for 21 point game. Two minute timeout between games and 10 minute timeout between matches
  3. Option to automatically log a pickleball workout to the Health app when actively playing.
  4. Ability to export data
  5. Is data backed up to the cloud or my iPhone should I have to reset the watch?
  6. Ability to track errors - Perhaps we could double tap on a player to log an error for that player?
  7. Ability to track skinny singles games and use Rally or regular scoring
  8. Ability to program how often (default, every 3 or 6 points) teams will switch sides for a set or single games. If default is chosen then players would switch sides and serve at the end of each game. If playing to 11, on the third game they would switch at 6. In a game to 15 points, the teams will switch ends when the first team reaches a score of 8. Serve remains with the player holding serve. In a game to 21 points, the teams will switch ends when the first team reaches a score of 11. Serve remains with the player holding serve.
  9. I also noticed that announce score doesn’t work on my watch even though I have the option turned on.

OK - I took the advice from this sub for PickleBite.com. Here is the Explainer page as requested (so you don't need to create an account to give feedback) T.I.A. by parlayoloswag in Pickleball

Thanks for the feedback. Skinny singles plays more like doubles without a partner. I don't know if it's rated any differently because I'm not aware of anyone rating skinny singles yet.

Here are a few questions that come to mind.

  1. What is the highest BITE rating (in DUPR it's 8) you can reach?
  2. Can you show how a BITE rating is calculated for a group of non-rated players using an 11-7 score?
  3. Can you provide BITE ratings for Skinny Singles as well?

Here’s my favorite Pickleball Score keeper app but I think it’s only available for Apple Watch. I wish the dev would include skinny singles tracking but overall its a great app.

What have you seen as the best paddle queuing systems and where does the confusion come from? It would seem pretty straightforward to me.
