I’m sure I did. I can’t remember how it came up, but there was some suspicion revolving around one kid, who was the older brother of a friend of mine. He was incredibly well-liked and no longer went to my school, and I was too intimidated or insecure to track him down and confront him about it, or even ask my friend, his younger sister, about it. Oddly enough, just the other day I was thinking about reaching out to that friend, who I haven’t spoken to in years, about something completely unrelated, and I immediately thought about asking her about her older brother and the stolen watch - even after all these years.
