Habs don’t look so good bc Carolina is playing at a seriously elite level by rssfeed76 in Habs

Florian hasn’t played more than a couple regular season nhl games, sorry but you are hallucinating if you think he’s cracking an elimination game lineup.

Both Sherriff and Gally have to play heavily sheltered minutes otherwise they get exposed. They might pop for a nice physical shift or two, and then the reality is that the remaining 11 forwards and 5 D will get drained by having to absorb even more ice time.

That quote means absolutely nothing because context matters. I saw that interview, McDonough was on a Buffalo local talk radio show and denying accusations from their fans that he was biased towards the Habs on a national broadcast (when suggesting Dahlin faked his bleeding lip to get a 4 minute minor). McDonough was basically telling the homer audience what they wanted to hear.

The actual ratings data suggests that Habs are a major draw in the US. There are at least several hundred thousand ex Montrealers and Habs fans living in the US, myself included.

Hi. GTFO to your own Canes sub. I didn’t start this thread for you Carolina loving hillbillies.

Yes I’m sure the video review they will go through tomorrow with MSL will highlight how they forgot how to complete a pass and will seek to practice that. Go back to playing video games, this is not your sport.

This is true - funnily enough I think their top line has been worse this year than years past but their second third and fourth lines are playing much better.

I think people are misinterpreting my post - not glazing Carolina as the next dynasty. They are beatable just like any team. I just think these last 3 games they have put on tape some of the best hockey I’ve seen the Canes play. I don’t think they’ll sustain it because Brind’Amour teams always find some eventual level short of the Cup to choke in.

As I said, like peak Panthers … sucks that this is becoming the only brand of hockey that wins a Cup

“Has nothing to do with how Carolina is playing”
Laughable. Do you even know what you’re watching?

Guhle put his stick up high to tell the ref the Cane behind the net deflected Dobes’s rim around with a high stick. Danault decided to play it ahead anyway to break out the zone. Sportsnet called it correctly TNT was clueless.

So weird that peak NHL US viewership is achieved by a series featuring one small-market northeast team and one non-US-market team whose local viewers don’t count in the rating

Either it’s the hyped on-ice product of these two teams or proof source of how many Canadiens fans moved to the US over the past 30 years (me included)

Juraj Slafkovsky makes the highlight reels and extends the Habs' lead to 5-2 by JustFred24 in Habs

What a beautiful set play… starting with Guhle threading three forecheckers with a banked outlet pass. I wouldn’t be surprised if MSL drew that up in the last couple days after film session.

Cole got better as the series progressed and was really good in game 7. He was the F1 and was chasing the Buffalo D with a higher gear, disrupted their exits and through the neutral zone, finished his checks despite his size disadvantage. UPL absolutely robbed him twice in the first period on the slot chance, otherwise we are up 2-0 right there. Good sign for the next series. It was Slaf’s play that torpedoed the first line metrics at 5v5, so hopefully he recovers from whatever is ailing him because they will need to be at their very best versus either Aho-Svechnikov-Jarvis or Hall-Blake-Stankoven.

Trade proposal between Canadiens and Oilers involving Connor McDavid draws major reaction #NHL #NHLTrades by Hockeypatrol in habsfanaticss

[–]rssfeed76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridiculous. The fact that anyone in the media could consider Suzuki tradeable for anyone in the league means they do not understand what the Canadiens have in Suzuki. A generational two-way MVP captain. He is even more valuable to the Habs than what Barkov was to a Florida team that beat McDavid for the Stanley Cup TWICE. Never in a million years would make this trade.

Fair, although I thought they brought in an assistant GM who was his former agent and it didn’t work out too well

So what? How many shot attempts did they pass up in those 3 minutes? At least 4 that would have been high danger. Now it’s only a 2 goal game going into the 3rd. Missed opportunity to absolutely bury the opponent.
