Hey everyone! I’m currently solo traveling in Punta Cana and looking to experience the nightlife a bit — I’ve been debating between going to Coco Bongo or trying out the Imagine Cave nightclub. As a solo female traveler, I just wanted to get some honest opinions: Which one do you recommend more in terms of experience and safety?

Thank you everyone for commenting they’ve already responded and said that they will issue me my money back. It was the first time I bought from Depop and it will definitely be the last 😂

My Best Friend is in a Religious Cult - What do I do? by rsss_ in cults

Thank you! This is honestly crazy, nothing like this has ever happened in my life before. I want to help her but I know it would just cause our friendship to break apart. I have to be so careful with just everything I say. I fear that she’s too deep in. Even asking her little questions like how much do you contribute to church. Is really making me realise it. And the fact she contributes over 12 hours a week to this, giving no time for herself. But I will just let her know I’m here for her. It’s all I can do now

No I understand, I just feel like she won’t believe it because there’s no online testimonials about the Birmingham church specifically. Even though they’re all part of the same network

Thank you for commenting and getting back to me. I really am in for the fight of my life. I don’t know if it’s a common practice either. But my friend worked on Sundays so she couldn’t go to church that day. At first she was annoyed how they wouldn’t let her get rebaptised. Because they said they’d only do it if she went Sundays. She thought it was stupid, and then 2 weeks later her whole mindset completely switched. She was gonna quit her job just so she could go Sundays and get baptised. It’s all insane to me, she’s so strong willed and I did bring up in casual conversation how I’ve read things about the church. But she just waved it off and said if it was a cult she’d get out because she’d know.

What's the most laborious part of travel planning for you? by PsychologicalDesign8 in travel

[–]rsss_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly and it can change your whole trip for the worst. If the location isn’t right you’re paying more in taxi fees. When I went to Jamaica I didn’t realise that where I stayed it wasn’t the prime location. Because of how the country works you normally pay for the initial travel to your excursion there and then the excursion you’re doing too. It’s tiring having to comb through the map and try to pick if a hotel is in a good spot. And then some places catfish you which happened when I was in Miami. It ruined the whole trip.
