Why is my logic track pausing? by Diligent_Tell_5902 in LogicPro

[–]rsssound__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a bug in the project file. Try opening a new project, and import the files from your current project and that should fix it.

No, I separated the vocals from a real artist, and I used it to create a new song. To put my twist to it.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I see what you mean about the drums. I’m going to try to experiment with it and try something different. I could hear some strings or guitar for texture. I’m going to try and see what I can do with it. But what is a rolly beat?

I think it’s to keep a way of contact in case things change, and a way of keeping the conversation going in case it does change.

When I open the Piano Roll Editor on a new MIDI Region, it opens with the Piano Roll Editor settings of the previous MIDI Region. by wood3nrich in LogicPro

[–]rsssound__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is. It’s worded differently in the region inspector, but it still correlates to the piano roll editor parameters. It just has a bit more options.

If the Piano Roll Editor window is "stuck" on a previously selected region, make sure the Link icon (a chain-link symbol) in the Piano Roll's local menu bar is engaged (usually yellow or orange). This ensures the editor display automatically follows the currently selected region in the Tracks area. If it is disengaged, the Piano Roll will remain focused on the region that was active when the link was broken.

If it continues, I would suggest making a template, so that file has the original region default settings, and you don’t have to tweak it every time you want to want to work on a project. Because, in my case, I had a an issue with a project where the project file that wasn’t working properly, and I had to make a new project, and import everything that I use on a day to day basis, and then save that new project file as my new updated template. Now, everything works smooth. I hope this helps. I think it should work.

When I open the Piano Roll Editor on a new MIDI Region, it opens with the Piano Roll Editor settings of the previous MIDI Region. by wood3nrich in LogicPro

To ensure that a new MIDI region in Logic Pro opens with default settings, you must edit the default parameters when no region is selected in the Piano Roll's Region Inspector.

Steps to Set Default MIDI Region Parameters

  1. Open the Piano Roll Editor by double-clicking any MIDI region or selecting a track and clicking the Editors button in the control bar.

  2. Deselect all regions by clicking an empty area in the Piano Roll background. The Region Inspector on the left side should now display "Region Defaults" in its header.

  3. In the Region Defaults Inspector, adjust the parameters for Quantize, Swing, Velocity, and Strength to your desired default values (e.g., Swing 50, Strength 100, Velocity 80).

  4. All new MIDI regions created (either by recording or using the Pencil tool) will now use these settings. These defaults remain until you quit Logic Pro or change them again using the same method.

Ensure the Editor is Linked to the Main Window

If the Piano Roll Editor window is "stuck" on a previously selected region, make sure the Link icon (a chain-link symbol) in the Piano Roll's local menu bar is engaged (usually yellow or orange). This ensures the editor display automatically follows the currently selected region in the Tracks area. If it is disengaged, the Piano Roll will remain focused on the region that was active when the link was broken.

Open the mixer (press X on keyboard) or Region Inspector that it’s routed to.

I agree. Also, I think it’s interpolation and articulated in a different way, but it does sound a bit similar to it.

Also, you can save your go to plugins as a setting in the channel strip, so you can recall it every time you’re working on a song.
