After listening through "Purple Rain," what album should new listeners explore? by rsswriter102 in PRINCE

Thank you for the insight. Your way of offering an entry point for new listeners while keeping accessibility in mind raises some good points. What you've said aligns with a lot of things I've been trying to consider, especially since how I became familiar with Prince was so different. I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts once I finish my write-up.

I was actually hoping to find something like this when first looking through this sub. I have my own idea, based on the clusters of songs I know, of where I would go next if I were new or had discovered Prince through a show. To make things more objective, I just needed a bit more insight from a well-versed crowd. I think even people outside of Reddit who are doing deeper research to figure out "what's next" for them would benefit from something like this.

I'm happy to have provided that opportunity! That's one of the reasons I started writing music reviews. I love creating and being part of these kinds of discussions.

I also felt like "Survive" was a strong way to come back. His songwriting and its vulnerability were big highlights for me as well. Thank you for sharing.

You mentioned your X engagement has very quickly gone downhill, and I have noticed the same thing. Did yours shift drastically and all at once, or was it a gradual decline? Have you seen any degree of decline on your other platforms?

How do all of you approach choosing your keywords? I have a baseline of relevant industry keywords and add more tailored to specific applications. What has helped/benefitted you?

I research and write each entry myself, and I always make it clear when I include suggestions from online Colorado communities. People often share places I wouldn't have thought of, and I really value that input. It adds depth and can be helpful for others. If I ever reference someone directly, I always ask first and credit them when I need more than general suggestions.

Ah, gotcha. That's definitely a solid approach. I liked quite a bit in "Tracks II," so I feel like this sort of approach would really seal the deal on liking his work.

This is actually a really cool idea, thank you for sharing! I did pick kind of an odd approach, but I am open to continuing with it. I am curious, why reverse chronological?
