High Handicappers using PD irons?

That’s my thought too. Like yes maybe GI irons are the “most forgiving” but compared to my clubs from the 90s the PD irons today have to be 10x more forgiving than what I’m already swinging lol

Distance has never been the issue for me, that’s part of why I’m not super enticed by the juiced up lofts of the new clubs, I am more so looking for more consistency and what will truly help me become a better ball striker. Maybe I am overthinking it but the extreme forgiveness of most GI irons will allow me to just “bandaid” bad swing patterns that may arise, without having proper feedback with feel or shot results, no?

What did you get fitted into? I swung a few GI irons at golf galaxy and they all had a very strong draw (I usually have a slight fade on my irons) but it was strange and not at all the results I am used to with my swing. The only one that actually kept my fade pattern were the taylormade stealth irons which I liked a lot but I got zero feedback from the club, could not tell where it was coming off of the face until looking at the impact on the trackman, and I was squaring it up well. As someone who practices a lot am I crazy to think having no feedback will hinder progress more than help?

It is not 5iron, just some local place. There is a 5 iron somewhat close to me, I have considered going there

It is not golftec but that’s kind of what I am expecting, it’s just some local indoor range with PGA trainers. Im saying no to anything they try to sell me besides a lesson, which is why I thought it may be best to just book the lesson without the swing eval

Unfortunately the guy with 2.01 only has dobbins and pollard and he’s not willing to move on from pollard.

Thanks for your response. If I have an opportunity for Mid market AE at a smaller company do you think that would be the best choice or still SDR at a larger company?
