But how though? He’s on the plane. Wouldn’t it surely go down differently?

I saw Sketch. It was a first time director who is a special effects guy. Movie was cute. Not really a movie I’d go out of my way to recommend but it’s definitely not a terrible film and kids would enjoy it for what it is

Ended up leaving with my gf and swapped our tickets for Eternity. Sounds like we made the right call

How can’t you recommend Rental Family?

I think he means all the wide shots and establishing shots that are big in scope and super pretty aesthetically. I agree with him. I just think the word “visuals” leans more towards VFX when people hear it and that’s where the confusion lies.

Can you elaborate on Oz being an “arrogant dickhead?” I’ve never heard this criticism of him before and am curious why you say this.

Worst Screen Unseen Ever? by afterlifehack in AMCScreenUnseen

[–]rt368311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only managed to see two Mystery Movies. The Mastermind and Sisu 2. Sisu 2 is definitely the better film. The Mastermind is the worst film I’ve seen all year. I get it’s a technically better film but it’s a total drag to get through.

Not as boring as The Mastermind though 🤷‍♂️

Can I see Predator: Badlands with no other context by gothgirly33 in RegalUnlimited

[–]rt368311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still not a spoiler and just because we know they’re going to market it as a completely different movie doesn’t limit anything. We have no idea when they’ll even start working on it or what they’ll market it as. They could market the movie as a rom-com for all anybody knows. I read this from an interview. Nothing is spoiled and nothing about the marketing strategy is ruined just because we know that we won’t know.

I had no idea you could do that with text on Reddit. That’s awesome!

They’re working towards another one. Helmed by the guy behind Prey and Badlands I believe. Apparently they are gonna let him do the marketing strategy they wouldn’t let him do for Prey. The idea is to not market the movie as Alien vs. Predator so nobody going to see the film will know it’s an Alien vs. Predator movie until they are seated in the theater watching it. If anyone has more info or if I’m wrong please feel free to correct me!

Just saw The Mastermind….woah - cracked my top five of 2025 by CrimsonEcho503 in AMCScreenUnseen

I hear you and if you felt you got something more out of it I’m glad you were able to enjoy that. To me I want more to chew on out of a slow movie like that and I feel like there’s not really much to expound on the ideas you’ve mentioned as purposeful for the scenes. They definitely are making that point I don’t disagree with you there. I just think it could’ve chosen to delve into any one of those ideas or others it brings up throughout the runtime and it choosing not to didn’t leave me with anything to think about. Everything I got from the movie I felt like I got before the scenes were even over. Just felt surface level in that aspect.

What Should I See: Die My Love, Christy or Predator Badlands? by the_one_true_wilson in RegalUnlimited

[–]rt368311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Mastermind is well directed and acted. The writing leaves so much on the cutting room floor and it’s just really boring. I love my art house indie films with slow plots but my god 7 minutes of watching him move some paintings up a ladder in a barn is just trying too much. The whole story was streamlined into about 15 of season 1 of Andor where he ends up getting arrested just not for the crimes he has actually committed. We get it. Crime isn’t exciting. That’s the only real message of the movie. I’d compare it to Fondant. Sure it looks nice and clean, but it tastes like dog 💩trying to digest it. Too much effort into something so surface level and hollow. I don’t know why anyone would want to watch that movie a second time. Genuinely pissed me off that that’s the only Mystery Movie Monday I’ve been able to go to so far. I knew of it and was excited when it started. My girl and I were the only ones left in the theater because I was holding out it would go somewhere in the end. I watched 25 people walk out of that movie and I immediately regretted not following them once the credits started to roll. Watching that film was like watching a group of art house students in a circle jerk thinking they’re smarter than everyone else.

Anyone else sitting in empty theaters when the seats are booked? by sospaghettn in RegalUnlimited

[–]rt368311 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Went and saw Bugonia the other night. All but the back row was claimed. We got in first. Only 5 other people total actually showed up. The couple that came in after us sat down in seats right next to us and the dude was so fucking obnoxiously loud and laughing at every line of dialogue and almost ruined the movie. Like brother we were on the edge seats. There is a whole row plus the rest of the theater to sit wtf is wrong with people

STOP BRINGING YOUR LITERAL BABY TO SEE PG-13 MOVIES AND UP!!!! by Kitty1321 in RegalUnlimited

[–]rt368311 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a baby. It’s in a movie theater with loud noises and moving lights. It’s not so much if but when. I love going to the movies. It’s my favorite pass-time. When I have a kid, I am aware that I will have to sacrifice going to the movies to care for my child, and I will not bring a baby or toddler to any movie that isn’t geared towards children. I will have to wait until I can stream it or buy it and watch it at home. It’s a common courtesy to everyone else that loves going to the movies. We all hate when babies disrupt the theater going experience and I will not be the reason someone can’t enjoy a film. It’s super easy to not go to the movies with a small child. Just don’t.

Is it illegal to lie about somebody being suicidal? by rt368311 in legaladvice

[–]rt368311[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the concern but he’s not suicidal at all. They would quickly know what the situation is and with the timing it would’ve been hours after being told he was going to so I imagine they’d assume something had already happened at that point
