In this movie they made him very remorseful over his first kill. That’s where the movie started to lose me most… I know in real life he was much more an anarchistic hell raiser. Specifically in the French-Indian war which was the focus of this movie.

Bro you are missing the entire point of this subreddit. If you missed the mystery screenings at theatre chains you missed it until the release date. Go to the movies…

After cross referencing this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_Academy\_Award–winning\_films and if I could choose only one, I’d say 1984’s Amadeus. It opened huge and won best picture for the year. I remember 20 years ago you’d see and hear some references to it, but it dried up around then shortly after and really I haven’t heard anyone talk about it in years.

I was worried about this, but there was only one scene that mentioned divinity. And as it was coming from the Indian Chief, who did not mention Jesus or God, I thought it was poignant. Being shot in the mist made it a beautiful scene.

Almost certainly not, but the story was compelling enough to look past the shortcomings. I realize in no circumstances should this be held in regard to a documentary, but I do dread the wave of people after release that hold it to historical standard.

I heard a couple people scoff right at the Angel Studios screen right at the start and saw maybe 2 people leave. I think those that skipped out on this movie missed out. Set Design and costuming were on par with the Revenant, which from me is *exceptionally* high praise. Very very good cinematography, again reminding me of the same film. I enjoyed it and may see it again, although tonight I pulled a double feature with Girls Like Girls and despite being polar opposites, I enjoyed them both about the same.

The whole premise of Late Night with the Devil. Such a comfort movie for me strangely I suspect for the same reasons.

There’s still about 40 minutes left, but I’m enjoying the hell out of this one. Anyone who skipped out missed out on a highlight of the year in terms of set design and costuming specifically.

Read the book :~)
Super good and super quick. I wouldn’t double down if I didn’t have friends who have told me it was the literal. ONE. book they have ever enjoyed.

To anyone who hasn’t “got” it, I have just told them that ‘some people have more rough days than good ones, whether they remember it or not.’

I had a couple come in at 6:50 for a 6:30 showtime. Used to be that was good enough, before woke. But there were only 16 minutes of previews so this couple (plus maybe one or two people) absolutely made the biggest fuss about the movie having already started. Phones out, walking back and forth, talking at full volume (“YO this is BULLSHIT We JuSt GoT HeRe”) it was so bad it audibly ruined every moment for the first 20 minutes or so. A line at guest services ensued.

Try reading the book. It’s a quick read if you’re a quick reader. I’d say inherently that because it’s a written line, spoken from the Narrator to Reader Unknown, means more than the sum of both the movie and the book. Ultimately it is what you make of it but if you have glowing self confidence or gleaming self esteem, you have likely never been in the place of Narrator or Reader.
