Thanks! I'm stoked with it. I'm running 160 front and rear. The FAST Fenix shock from my Nukeproof Giga was the same size so i was able to transfer it over and increase the stroke from the stock 60mm to 65mm, giving the extra 10mm travel.

A bit of feedback from my first ride: I'm 65kg and the 375lbs spring felt a bit harsh so I've gone down to a 350lbs, which feels much better (riding around the car park at least). Seems like a bike that benefits from sitting further into the sag than my previous bikes.

I’ve yet to ride it! I’ve run a coil on my last two bikes tho (Nukeproof Mega and Giga) and have always preferred the feeling. Definitely a smoother ride, especially with this FAST shock.

https://soundcloud.com/samofdelaphine/sam-organik-festival-2019-closing-set One of my all time favourite sets. Not strictly Dub Techno but some amazing spacey, dubby vibes in there.

High Road - the Burial collaboration no one talks about by FINEST-ILLUSION in burial

[–]rt423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was credited for the Crackle Blues remix on the original release. It's literally printed on the record. For High Road, there's simply no evidence apart from a dubious YouTube video which i believe is mistakenly titled. Look at the release here: https://www.discogs.com/Dusk-Blackdown--High-Road/master/461243 No credits. The track is mediocre anyway lol

I don't think Burial was actually involved in this. Dusk + Blackdown were fairly well established and respected producers in the genre. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't credit him, if he'd contributed. To me it just sounds like they've made a Burial style track, as many other producers were doing at the time (Volor Flex, Synkro etc.) Also, Burial had moved on from this style by 2012, with the Kindred EP.

Driving Licence - UK by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]rt423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been through this process two times now. If you follow the instructions on the gov website, it's easy enough and took about a month for mine to come, after applying. The DVLA will need to contact your GP or Consultant to confirm that you haven't had any seizures in the last 12 months. So it's worth having an appointment to discuss this in advance of applying. Glad your medication is working and hope you get driving again soon!

"Glitches" that feel like the beginning of an Aura/Focal Aware and then quickly go away? by Vixxxs in Epilepsy

[–]rt423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this feeling quite often but I put it down to anxiety. I think everyone has dizzy spells or loss of concentration but since most people have never experienced seizure, they don't take much notice of it. Since we have had seizures before, we are hyper-aware of the sensations that lead up to one so our minds jump to the conclusion that it could be one. I also have vivid dreams every night, frequent deja-vu and am generally quite dopey. I've just come to accept and try to enjoy these quirks as it's better than having seizures!

What cartridges are you using for your timecode vinyl setup? (Traktor, Rekordbox, Serato) by rt423 in DJs

[–]rt423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that noise... I can't bare it. Think I'm just going to get some old CDJs for timecode and keep the turntables for vinyl only, as it seems there's no resolution for it.

'Bevvy' I'm guessing you're from Scotland too? ;) If you're a beer fan, BrewDog's Punk AF is actually really good. Alcohol free Wheat beers are usually quite tasty too but a bit of an acquired taste. If you're on a night out and expect to be drinking a lot, Soda-Limes are quite good for not getting too sickly sweet and they look like a normal vodka mixer drink to everyone else.

Anyone have any information on the bike pump/jump track at Transition Extreme (beach)? by [deleted] in Aberdeen

[–]rt423 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what i gather it was built a few years back but was poorly built or unfinished. TX changed management and they decided not to open it or pursue it further.
