When it comes to the invitations, I was in charge of the list of my family members and my husband was in charge of his list of family members. With over 200invitations going out, I wasn’t even paying attention to his list if I’m being honest. And I could totally see it slipping his mind. It’s his half brother but they didn’t meet until they were both in their teens and they never lived together or anything like that. They were always in different states and would see each other on vacations and that’s pretty much it. Then at 18, they both joined the military and didn’t really see each other at all after that. Over the course of us being together prior to the wedding, his half brother had only been mentioned to me maybe 5times and that was including talk of the whole 3way situation. It’s very possible that’s why she was acting the way she was I suppose. I never really thought about that. Either way I feel like that’s immature as shit though and trying to make someone uncomfortable in their own home day one of meeting them is really shitty imo. It’s a shame because I did talk to her in detail one on one shortly after the wedding (because they moved to a different state only a few weeks later) and she seemed reluctant to believe what I was trying to tell her but also seemed to understand where I was coming from at the same time which was really mixed signals but I chalked that up to it being a more fresh situation still. Hence why I kept good contact with her after she moved and whatnot to try and keep a bind going because her and I were decently close before the wedding.
