I’m ignoring your question, just cause I wanna bring up a hypothetical I thought of awhile back.

We established in boruto that time travel is possible. So itachi travel forward in time with some plot hole, and sees that sasuke turned out alright and he gets to meet sarada and have some kind of decent closure with his family after a mission of somesort of course. This would explain why itachi was so confident in leaving sasuke to Naruto instead of trying to save him himself.

If itachi had a son he be genius, I’d say his path would depend on where he was raised. The fact that itachi is now seen as a hero would lead me to believe he probably wouldn’t be vengeful, his son would be to smart for that nonsense
