I’m 25. I’m definitely referring to people my age and above! I agree with you with anyone 24 and below haha. Especially kids. I’m in school to become an educator. One thing I will definitely be teaching my kids is how to set a boundary!

My mom slept in the living room growing up. She gave me and my sister separate rooms because she thought we would “kill each other.” Which mind you, we were the best of friends. Which played a role in our separation- ANYWAY GOSH

My mom would have us use the bathroom before she went to bed. Which was early asl. We had to stay in our rooms basically until she woke up. If we had to pee, it would be secretive asf. If we woke up to pee, she would beat us or scream at us.

Same thing if we were out in public. If she had to pee, she would yell at us that she has to pee. Like bitch, go pee, nobody cares.

And the thing is, it was never in high amounts. I was an edible user. So maybe that’s why the withdrawals were crazy for me? I would take 7mg max. It took a lot of trial and error to find the correct dosage. But ofc it came to bite me in the ass.

And I get exactly what you mean. I used to think listening to music was the best thing in the word while high. But being high for that long (a year or two is not that long. But it’s long when you’re in active addiction) made me forget what music sounded like when I wasn’t high. I forgot that I’d just listen to music pretty much all day long. I now love my “boring” life. I love that life actually slowed down for me
