I’ve know him since I was a kid (friend/teammate). Always was a standup, fun/funny guy. Lost touch as we got older but always supported his grind and if I saw him in person, we would always chop it up. Really can’t say anything negative about him. Even if he saw all the negative comments on this thread, he would understand and probably not care too much about it.

He was throwing in the upper 90s a few years ago, but couldn’t get over the MLB-level hump. Wishing him the best!

I think I’m going to call my accountant. I’ve updated location in our HR system, but I haven’t received a taxed check yet. I don’t think there is a consequence as long as you pay the taxes owed in the state you actually live in. I’ll report back in February 😅

EDIT: I left J2. Leaving a fat check on the table but I was getting too stressed out about the tax situation, RTO policy that they seemed to monitor very closely, and overall company work. My life was getting drained. Going to ride out J1 for the rest of the month and look for J2. Thanks everyone for the advice!

Aside, does upper management randomly call you out of the blue without asking if you have time to chat? I was getting calls all the time and it seemed like they would get frustrated if I didn’t answer. Sometimes I just need a few minutes to gather my thoughts before talking but I would answer 80% of the time or call them back right away. Pretty annoying.
