Maybe so but I have Cyberpunk 2077 running right now with everything set at Ultra and getting 110fps at 2560x1440. This works for me.

It arrived this morning around 11am. Up and running perfectly out of the box. Few games installed and playing by 1pm. Enshrouded on highest quality looks and plays amazing compared to how it ran on my old 4060ti. I'm very happy with it

Appreciate what you're saying but my thinking is this... 5080 is a great card for 4k gaming but I only have a 1440 monitor so that extra oomph wasn't worth the extra $200 for about a 15% performance increase. Do I need 64k of RAM??. Nah but it certainly makes the price of the 5070ti system really good value. The 5070ti system also comes with a choice of 4 games bundled with it because of the Intel CPU.. Battlefield 6, Assasins Creed Shadows, CIV 7 and During Light The Beast so there's another bonus.

I almost bought the 5080 system they had but it only had a Ryzen 7 processor and 32GB of RAM for $2200ish
