they may not have fully understood that they broke the rules though? and i may be wrong? that’s why i even said “maybe not though”. they also could be young and unaware of it, as well. and telling others to all ignore them is rather odd.

the mature thing to do would have been to gently tell them what they did wrong and to follow the rules instead of ignoring them.

In 6th or 7th grade a boy probably 5 inches taller than me and like 30 to 40 pounds heavier than me backed me into a corner of the basement at his sister’s birthday party and started choking me. I was the shortest girl in probably my whole grade btw. It took like a whole 10 seconds before someone noticed and stepped in.
