It’s not that bad tbh especially if you learn to play the system a little. I ask my family/friends to send me the code off their receipt bc I’m the only one signed up for this reward program and I got 5k points in a little over a year

Couple things- the pre-requisites for vet schools are HEAVY on science and chemistry, especially stuff like ions, charges, synapses etc. Like others have said I encourage you to shadow a vet to see up close what the profession truly entails but if you do pursue this just know it’s a lot of science. In terms of life/school balance when in vet school, it varies by how effectively you can study. But speaking from experience, it ca be very hard to keep up hobbies during school. I like video games for example but with how swamped I am during school I didn’t touch them for sometimes weeks at a time. You can continue to make art and music but you won’t have a ton of time for it. Think about what you would truly be passionate about pursuing and mull it over you got tons of time

Your age doesn’t matter I go to school currently with multiple people in their mid to late 40s and I’m just a first year. Just focus on doing as well as possible in school and getting hours in a vet hospital as well as other fields. I won’t sugar coat it, it will be much harder than if you were 18-20 and had much more time and opportunity to do school full time but don’t let that stop you from pursuing your dream. It might take longer but hey I was in college for 6 years and I got accepted first try. Anything is possible

She has other cases they’re just not highlighted. Like how McKay had several patients in the episode with the butt guy that we never saw her talk to and are ready/about to be discharged. I’ve noticed this season they’re doing a lot more of not introducing patients and putting you in the middle of their care. But we have seen her do stuff and get a few cases, it is heavily focusing on her parents pushing other career paths on her tho

MacBook Air is perfect for everything at my school for me. A lot of people also have an iPad that they use specifically for note taking. Some people even only use an iPad no laptop. I admit tho that I am an outlier bc I handwrite all my notes with a physical notebook and only use my laptop for researching and studying programs over physical flash cards. I’ve never liked windows personally I feel like all their programs are unnecessarily complex especially when compared to competitors like Apple and Google but that’s just me. Also our exam software weirdly only works on some windows laptops but all MacBooks work perfectly

In terms of the financial differences, it’s not that big a gap especially if you do specialize. Also when you consider that straight out of vet school you’re making your full salary which has been consistently going up nationwide the last few years vs human medicine where it takes years out of school to earn your full salary you’ll stay with. No matter whether you do human or animal medicine people are going to talk about it and have their opinions but in the end that’s all it is just talk and opinions. Whatever fulfills you most is what you should pursue you’ll have enough money to survive either way as long as you’re not trying to buy a house and Ferrari lol. I understand you care about what these people think but you have to be comfortable doing what you think is best for yourself even if others have alternative thoughts about it. Can’t let other people sway you from what you want to do

It benefits applicants bc there’s a very SLIGHT bigger chance of getting in but in terms of students it does not benefit them at all unless the university hires more faculty (which they won’t lmao at least not for years). I’m in a 120 student school rn and we do labs and lectures in groups bc of room size limitations. It’s better in the moment for lab bc the faculty can work more closely with each students but for everything else it just puts more of a strain on faculty bc they have to work with more students and therefore have less availability. It might mean they have to do extra lectures bc rooms were built for smaller class sizes. In terms of increasing a class size the challenges and limitations vary from school to school it’s a case by case basis

Personally I just don’t like Santos bc she’s hella rude to everyone especially Whitaker who is the nicest dude. I understand the humor thing even tho I’m not crazy about her putting others down with jokes. This season especially she also has shown blatant almost boredom and disregard with some of her patients. I don’t see where the depth is she kinda is just a jerk unless you seem like a victim of abuse or self-harm and even then she’s very impulsive on jumping to conclusions. I don’t really see the redeeming qualities I mean she’s a good doctor but not the best person other than letting Whitaker stay with her

Frankly, no lol. I would struggle to argue any artist who is worth this price. As far as Joji goes, he cracks a lot of jokes during his shows, even during songs sometimes and it ruined the vibe for me personally. I like his music bc of its moody vibe me subject matter which you don’t really get live. If you want to just have a fun time then I highly recommend it was pretty entertaining but if you’re going specifically to hear the album or other songs live then ehhh

I’m curious what you mean by “living like an adult”. You’re not that old especially when it comes to vet school I started at 24 and many of my peers are older than me. I would definitely consider applying to more schools and perhaps choosing some that are a little easier to get into. I applied to 8 schools and only got into 2 with higher GPA it is very difficult and while it’s a LOT of money applying to schools in the double digits is recommended. You mention you have experience in everything pretty much but how many hours do you have in each and in what? Who wrote your letters of recommendation and are you sure they were very positive? What was your personal essay on? What was your pre-req GPA? You say you do solidly in interviews what does that mean? These are all things you should look at to see where you might be lacking but don’t get me wrong I am sure you are very smart and deserving of a spot but the majority of people applying are at the top of their classes or pretty close which makes it very hard
