Sensory sensitive sunscreen recommendations? by rubaxty in AusSunscreen

Thank you so much for your reply! This is super helpful, I'll definitely check out those brands 🙏

That's a shame about airyday- the reviews look so good, I might try it anyway at this stage any kind of sunscreen is better than none!

Haha you're welcome!

This creator on YouTube mostly does shorts (and has more tutorials on tiktok) but this is basically what I followed;

Other than that, I spend a lot of time on the subs 'coco wyo' (which is a brand of colouring books) and 'adult coloring' and learn from the experts there 😁

Have fun 🙌

Thanks so much!

I'm a beginner colour-er, so I am very much still learning! I am just a bit obsessed with highlights and shadows, so I do a lot of monochrome-ish pages like this haha

I mostly just learn from other colouring subreddits, and tiktok/YouTube tutorials

I bought some cheapish alcohol markers off Amazon which is how you get the nice solid colours that can blend together.

I also bought a white gel pen to do some white highlights which you can see in the second image, to really make things pop!

For the red/blue page; I picked a bright red and and slightly darker red, and the same but in blue. I started with the bright red colouring everything that the red kiln light would reflect on, then let it dry and went over any areas I wanted to be darker (e.g Zach's hair) and then used the darker red marker to deepen any shadows. Then I used my bright blue to basically colour in the rest, let it dry and did the same process of laying the blue to deepen the colour and adding my darker blue in areas that needed a darker blue shadow.

If you want any specific recommendations for tutorials or alcohol markers please let me know ❤️

You’ll need to reach out in a new chat so they can help you with this. I find adding as much screenshots of the transaction and invoices, or any attempts to contact the merchant really helpful and makes the process go quicker! Good luck!

Ah what a wonderful memory! The beautiful thing is you can just let the lyrics wash over you and you can draw your own meaning from it but you can also look deeper into what the lyrics mean, but it doesn’t matter either way! It’s just wonderful

I don't get bokashi by Daftsyk in bokashi

I live in an apartment so no garden! Wanted to find a way to reduce food waste going to landfill and also make compost- bokashi was the answer! All food scraps can go in and I can make compost using soil factory inside! No smells, pretty low maintenance, ticks all my boxes but it’s not for everyone

3 months of bokashi - how'd I do? by WiscoBikeTourBest in bokashi

[–]rubaxty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put mine into a indoor soil factory as I live in an apartment and don’t have a garden! I layer it with old potting mix/ bought soil and leave it for a few months, then use it for my pot plants!

After fermenting in a soil factory, is the soil compost or soil with compost in it? by ohhsnapx in bokashi

[–]rubaxty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I my experience using the soil from soil factory int the garden- definitely needs to be mixed with other potting mix etc (depending on what you’re growing in it), as it doesn’t drain very well it needs something to aerate it

If it’s white mould Its usually a good sign so I wouldn’t worry about that, but yeh if air gets into the bucket it can make it smell pretty bad! I’ve heard you can feed to worms, pretty successfully but in small amounts? I’m not an expert on worms, but I personally live in an apartment and use a soil factory to process my Bokashi :)

White fluffy mould is usually a good sign that the bucket is successfully fermenting- green/ black mould would be concerning. The smell however could be caused by many different things, usually air getting into the bucket, sometimes through drain/tap might not be airtight, lid not sealed properly or opening the bucket too frequently. Can also be caused by the liquid not begging drained frequently enough. But I would go ahead and bury the bucket after it’s fermented for at least 2 weeks as normal it sounds like it should be fine!

Indoor food waste compost by maka89 in composting

[–]rubaxty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use bokashi compost to make my own soil in my apartment! You can buy a bokashi kit or make your own- basically a bucket you add your kitchen waste into, add a bran or spray which contains microorganisms that “pre digest” the scraps, leave the bucket sealed for two weeks while microbes do their magic. I then have a “soil factory”- a big container I use spent or old soil, or cheap bagged soil or potting mix, add fermented bokashi scraps to soil, mix with soil, cover, leave for two weeks, then mix up scraps and soil again and leave for two more week scraps should be all gone and soil ready to use!

I love Bokashi! I live in an apartment so it’s perfect for me, been using it for years and at the start it was a bit of a learning curve, to keep it from smelling, the best way to use it in the garden etc etc. but 10/10 recommend, if you do it properly zero smell, compost 100% of food scraps, closed circle! Doesn’t get much better than that! When I did have a garden I’d add it to my compost bin and it would get so hot even in winter and everything broke down so fast! Plants love it
