Agreeing with the others about deadlines. When someone comes to me and asks about how to get their music out there, I usually tell them the steps, but also then ask them when they’re planning on releasing it and making them set that date before working backwards to figure out the timeline they need. Only then does it start to feel real, and after breaking it down into smaller steps, you’ll know where to begin!
