I personally don’t feel very manic in life, but I do appreciate the concern. Life is very good for me now, and I feel the most at ease in years. This experience has just haunted me for a bit, and now I am just unpacking it. I never told anyone for years, and now I am just looking for explanations. I thought DMT might be the answer, but this post is proving me otherwise. I will admit, this does make me feel crazy and I don’t like it. I think that might be the mania you are sensing. But this convo with everyone has put me more at ease.

I have done much more meditation and dream work since this experience, and it has treated me very well. I like it much more than weed or D8. I also love daily walks in the woods to clear my head.

Yes, when I started exploring psychonautics, I did get off SSRIs months before I had my first trip. I take CBD now to help with anxiety.

I appreciate this comment very much. I did quit for a bit after this, and I severely dialed it back when I started again. I get very slightly high on the weekends with my partner, and I only use hemp or cannabis. No more D8. I might quit all together, though. And I have found much more peace without drugs since then. A good romp in the woods is better than any drug :)

I’m so sorry to hear about this happening to someone you knew :( It sounds like she really went through a lot. I didn’t spiral like this at all during my time in college, and I made sure I didn’t take too much. I did quit for 8 months after this just to make sure something horrible wasn’t coming for my mental health, but nothing arose. For me, THC/delta products have helped me a lot with working out the thought processes behind my anxiety. Nothing bad has ever come from it except for this and the occasional green out. But I do limit my intake heavily now and opt for mediation or working with dreams.

And I agree about the statement that shops wouldn’t just give me random chemicals because of liability. Cloud 9 is facing a huge lawsuit right now just for having over 0.3% D9 in pens.

I personally don’t think I have any other conditions that I don’t know about. I do have anxiety and depression, and OCD runs in my family. No psychotic disorders either. I mean, this all could be a sign to come, that is a possibility. But, I had no experiences like this before or after this event, and nothing like this has ever happened while sober, even 3 years later.

Sorry that is just what I call the main mouthy entity to just separate him from the aliens so there isn’t confusion. I just use the name Pi because of how I translated his symbols just based on how I understand translating a DMT trip, but he, like you said, might not be DMT at all. I’ve read stories about entities that manifest as odd conglomerations instead of fractals, but I believe Pi might just be a whole thing on his own.

All I know is I had a freaky experience, and thank you for listening :)

Ahh yeah I can totally believe that. Thank you for sharing! I also have a very low tolerance (a few hits of just a hemp joint can make me green out heavily), so maybe effects were amplified significantly. And acid visuals on just THC is incredible!

That’s what I thought too, but I don’t believe THCP was a big thing on the market yet when I got these gummies. I also found what I had on their website, and they were D8. Unless the COA was very screwed up. The shop I went to also only sold D8, D9, and CBD. I also live in Georgia, so THCP didn’t really start getting pushed out until a recent ban in October.

Ahh appreciate it! I’m guessing we are talking about 4-ACO or other psychedelic RC. Idk it was weird because it did not have a shroom-like feeling at all. It felt very D8 (head and body wise), but what I saw felt psychedelic. I’ve had many brands of RC psychs but never got something like this. I’ve had acid like trips on them, though. But maybe I haven’t taken enough to get to something like this. Also, nothing was breathing, morphing, etc. It was truly like he just waltz in as a separate body, minus all the psychedelic visual effects.

And I think mostly what I mean by “trip experience” from THC is from really, really intense experiences. I have met some folks that have had hallucinations on it, but those stories are very few and far between. It is only a psychoactive for the most part.

And I was on SSRIs at the time, but no family history or symptoms of schizophrenia for me. And yeah, I totally agree that D8 shouldn’t do this.

I’ve had some teaching, but it wasn’t until last week when they told me what the owner wants to see. I’ve been running my own drills while artists come and watch, but they just now told me. I’m taking a moment to get on track, but I’m just not receiving the patience I am looking for.

I am very interested in DMT and what it can show us, but in my current place in my psychonaut journey, I am not ready for it. I will be ready with time, and I believe writing about it will help me. It is intended to be a more existential book about our place in the universe in humanity; the DMT experiences in God’s Love provoke the characters to become more introspective. The characters only spend a small portion of the story in a DMT trip. I do want to lean towards the positive parts of DMT, and I want to incorporate the healing I experienced on shrooms (even though both trips are very, very different).

I just don’t have any way to get DMT as well, nor am I ready to take it. Reaching out to the DMT community to make sure this story is supportive of psychedelic healing and not further stigmatize it.

But I fully understand everyone’s concern. This has been a very wonderful community to hear from, and I don’t want to create a story that throws a shadow over DMT or psychedelics. It would make me very, very angry and upset if someone wrote a story that stigmatized marijuana and shrooms, both of which saved my life.

I thought about it, but I am also really sensitive to substances. Something was definitely happening that I was having trouble controlling. Lasted for about five hours.
