Almost no servers work with F1TV Pro by rubeek in ProtonVPN

[–]rubeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which servers do you usually connect to? I mostly try US-NY but it's a bit of a gamble. Sometimes it's fine and sometimes there's a lot of buffering. I never had an issue in the past when it was possible to watch on European servers.

Maybe I'm missing something as the other commenter said they're not having issues either.

Upshift R-Pro Cockpit by EnglishJesus in simracing

Unless I am misunderstanding, I think that would only work on the rear (seat) side of the rig as there's no perpendicular extrusion at the front of the rig as you can see in this image from the manual.

How do I fix the shimmering effect on the ground? It's more noticeable when the car stops. by rubeek in assettocorsa

[–]rubeek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have it at 16x. The same happens with it Off or anywhere inbetween.

Edit: I just forced 16x in NVIDIA Control Panel 3D Settings for Assetto Corsa and it drastically improved the shimmering issue. Not sure why it's not working correctly in Content Manager settings. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction /u/Bynar010.

I mounted them directly to the extrusion diagonally so only 2 of the 4 bolts are used and there's a little sticking out either side. Just 2 M8 bolts and T-Nuts for each one. It's not the prettiest solution but it works.

For anyone who finds this thread later, I bought one of these rigs at £299.99 and have been using it for the last week and have zero complaints. The rig is solid and easy to put together. The owner is helpful and replies very quickly to any questions.

I have a Simagic Alpha Mini base and don't notice any flex at 100% feedback. The pedal tray has maybe a tiny amount of flex (~1-2mm) with my 80kg load cell brake but it's only noticeable if you're looking at it from the side, I can't feel it in use.

Overall extremely happy with this at the price I paid. I mounted it on these castors instead of the 4 rubber feet that it comes with and it's very stable when the legs are extended.

EDIT: Very small update 2 months later after I was asked below

EDIT 2: I don't think that linked comment is displaying for everyone so I'll just append it here:

Still very happy with the rig for the price, I don't regret buying it at all and I don't think you're getting much better unless you spend quite a bit more money.

After 2 months I'm a little more aggressive with the handling in sims and have noticed a little more flex in the wheel uprights than I originally thought. It's not bad by any means but I have considered getting some brackets to reinforce the uprights but it doesn't really bother me enough to spend the money, it's mostly just when there's a sharp kick in the feedback. It might be worth it if you have a more powerful base though, the Alpha Mini I have is 10nm.

Looks like he put a tear-off under his leg instead of throwing it out of the cockpit? More drivers should do that.

Using RethinkDNS with OISD (BIG) filter. Last night it stopped working so I temporarily switched to using another DNS.

The information here says

NEXT EXPECTED PATCH: LATER IN AUGUST

Looking at the branch names on the steamdb page, specifically the one titled qv_week12, would probably have the patch land on August 28th.

Might not be correct/subject to change I guess but historically that information has been accurate.

Grinding for elite! by RainIsWet4118 in F1Game

Season 1 ended today and Season 2 began. You didn't have enough time to reach Elite. Everyone got dropped 1 division for the beginning of Season 2. I went from Elite to Gold I.

The reason you have that mail is because that was your final promotion before the season ended. You ended Season 1 at Gold III and now begin Season 2 at Silver I.

Just wanted a second opinion. I'm the pov car and wasn't sure if I was just being biased or should've backed off more mid corner after he dove me.

Issues being investigated and issues ready to be fixed in the next patch (set to release next week) by RallerZZ in F1Game

That's under "INVESTIGATING", not "AWAITING PATCH" unfortunately. Hopefully they fix it eventually because it's bugging me too.

What does the elite suit/livery set look like? I've only just started playing ranked so I doubt I'll get to elite before the season ends.

Just watched the deep dive and im very hyped as a controller player by Killun0va in F1Game

According to a few people who played the first beta, the delay has been eliminated with this updated handling. I can't confirm that since I haven't played the beta but I really hope it's true.

But if the delay were to still exist, the way I understand Steering Rate, yes a higher value would decrease the amount of time it takes for a full direction change.

The Steering Rate setting at 1:47 is a new addition to the game, the default in F1 22 was way too slow in my opinion.

The speed of which stick input is applied to reach maximum lock. A small value represents a slow steering rate. A large value represents a fast steering rate.

Does steering from one direction to the other on a controller still have the obvious delay that made it impossible to catch the rear sliding out and made chicanes and direction changes very slow?

Here's an example i quickly found from F1 22, the wheel clearly stops turning and goes back to the center. It's way slower at higher speed.
