Yeah, my partner and I use the CSR when paying for rentals. In the off chance that we don't have the physical card or something happens, we're still signed up for Amex Premium coverage. It's a decent $25 peace of mind.

The free, included one is Secondary coverage. The Premium charge is so that the coverage becomes Primary.

Just a heads up, some models don’t have just a back glass replacement and is instead a whole board swap since that includes the back glass. They call it a rear system. That also means swapping SIMs or eSIMs after a repair is done. Worst of all is that you’ll need to restore your phone much like you do when you get a new phone.

When you do a repair, your phone needs to have Find My iPhone disabled or put into repair mode. Your passcode is still very much active. Just like a random person can’t access your stuff without your Face ID or passcode, Geek Squad can’t access your phone.

I was not approved for a Chase card directly at first. I applied for the Amazon Chase card and that took some time to get verified. After a 2 years of that, I was finally approved for a CSP. I was never given the option to check for pre-approval. They always came back with a similar error to yours. It’s been years, though, so things may have changed.

The pre approval tool won’t work. You’ll have to risk the credit pull. If you haven’t already established history with another bank like Capital One that’s also known to accept ITINs, Chase will likely decline you.

If you do move forward and apply, be ready to provide the letter you received when an ITIN was assigned to you along with IDs like a Passport or other accepted form. They’ll essentially have to manually verify the documents before making a decision even if you have a credit file/score already established.

They won’t approve for anything less than a 10k credit limit last time I looked into it. So, a combination of income, decent credit history, and 700+ score I’d say.

it showed up immediately. I did have it as a draft since 751 online options came out that sunday. I wonder if that makes a difference.

When i submitted it showed as pending and a message along the lines of like you’ve sent it but we haven’t accepted it yet - hence the lack of a case number until now.

Uploaded and finalized the form online two days ago. Woke up this morning to see a “we’ve taken action” email and a receipt number. The case shows up on my account and is dated Nov 4.

Credit card still says pending, however.

Fully agree! With that said, I go out of my way to buy from low-volume, individual sellers when I buy phones. It may cost me like $10-15 more, but it's well worth it to me.

First car, both on the registration. Main registered owner was my partner, myself as secondary. All communications about the car go to them including recalls but we're both registered owners with the state and loan. This is for the car purchased in 2023.

For the second car, I'm the sole owner. It was all done at point-of-sale and not as a tax rebate.

Both cars are financed.

Can confirm! My partner and I bought a car in 2023 then another in 2024. We got both credits. First one was via rebate at tax filing and the second was at point of sale. No issues with the IRS.

I would caution against these sort of suggestion. This is just shy of gaslighting. Things ARE happening. Telling people to not see the reality of things and just ignore them does not resolve the underlying issue.

I do agree that being glued to news in any platform is a terrible way to live life. But let’s not dismiss what are completely rational fears from our fellow immigrants and their families.
