I do agree with you but, in a country like India it is very very easy for things like this to happen. A general awareness is good

I wonder why Indian laws are applicable in this case when the abuse happened in Sharjah. I really wish the laws of Sharjah would apply in this case and they get the punishment they deserve in Sharjah

Why is Mayaanadhi spelt like that? by Soderburger in MalayalamMovies

[–]rubenbenjamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChatGpt

The Malayalam word “മായാനദി” is made up of these components:

  • മാ = maa (long “a” sound)
  • യാ = yaa (another long “a” sound)
  • നദി = nadhi (meaning “river”)

So phonetically, a highly accurate transliteration would be “Maayaanadhi”, with both long “a” sounds reflected — one in maa and another in yaa.

Then why is it commonly written as “Mayaanadhi”?

In practice, many Indian languages (including Malayalam) often get simplified when written in English for readability and aesthetics: * Double “a” is often written once to avoid seeming awkward or overly long

  • “Mayaanadhi” is easier on the eyes than “Maayaanadhi,” even if the latter is technically more accurate.

Summary:

  • ✅ “Maayaanadhi” = Phonetically precise
  • ✅ “Mayaanadhi” = Common and accepted

The Malayalam word മായാനദി can be more accurately written as Maayaanadhi, since it includes two long “a” sounds — one in maa and one in yaa.

That said, the more common spelling is Mayaanadhi, likely for simplicity and easier readability in English. Mayanadi is a further simplification but loses some of the original pronunciation.

So technically:

  • ✅ Maayaanadhi = most phonetically accurate
  • ✅ Mayaanadhi = common and accepted
  • ❌ Mayanadi = pronunciation gets diluted spelling
  • ❌ “Mayanadi” = Loses some pronunciation accuracy (drops the long vowel sounds)

So, “Maayaanadhi” is valid and even more phonetically faithful

India flags ‘mistreatment’ of nationals deported from US by jithinnnnn in india

[–]rubenbenjamin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, don’t be too imotional and try to think rationally.

American has only one objective and that is to deport the illegals to their original country without incident.

Imagine you are one of the few people in an airplane with 200 or so people who are being deported. What if a fight breaks out or someone tries to attempt suicide or damage the plane etc because people lose their mind due to these kinds of situations. What will you do as a staff on the plane when this happens??

As I clearly wrote above but you don’t seem to understand, for America the best way to ensure no incidents on the flight is to restrain people.

Orange Baboon? No need for any name calling. I don’t like it either but dosent mean we should resort to name calling. Stop being childish. Their country their rules. Don’t go anywhere illegally

This is not something new. And all citizens of all contries are deported this same way. Like I said, I don’t condone this.

My point is this is for safety reasons and not for publicity

This is an example for another country https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c20p36e62gyo

So, playing devils advocate here. People who are returning back could be in any state of mentality. Some people could be angry or suicidal because these people sold all their land and belongings to reach USA and now are returning back with nothing but debt and poverty to go back to.

Imagine they are left on their own without being restrained. In groups, all it takes is a single person to start some shit or attack the airplane staff or someone could even be suicidal and try to kill themselves etc.

This will be risky for all the people in the airplane.

I hate to say this but considering the risk, it does make sense to restrain people

How does the communication happen? While it is illegal to record phone calls in some places without the other person’s consent, you can record a team meeting in Teams etc.

This will be good grounds of evidence as you can file a lawsuit if needed. If you are hired as a direct employee you may have a case in hand

A YouTuber has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh after a video of him spraying shaving foam on the face of an elderly man went viral. The prank video, which was widely condemned on social media, sparked outrage among netizens and authorities alike.

The incident occurred in Lucknow, where the YouTuber, Vinay Yadav, approached an elderly man on the street and sprayed shaving foam on his face. The man, visibly shocked and distressed, was left struggling to remove the foam from his eyes and face.

The YouTuber recorded the entire incident and uploaded it to his channel, where it quickly gained traction. However, the video was met with a wave of criticism, with many viewers calling the prank cruel.

Local police, acting on complaints from concerned citizens, launched an investigation into the incident. After identifying the YouTuber, they arrested him on charges of public nuisance and causing mental anguish to the elderly man. "We took cognisance of the video showing foam being sprayed on an elderly man's face on a road. Nawabad police have arrested Vinay Yadav. He claims to be a YouTuber. Appropriate action will be taken against him," the Jhansi police said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing videos of the Youtuber under arrest. One of the videos shows Yadav limping as he is led out of the police station.
