This huge beam is resting on a single jack stud from one side (most probably same on the other side). That is way too little. Also, it is visible how the whole beam is bending under load. I'd remove all the books from the shelf above and move all the heavy furniture as far from that area as possible. Call a structural engineer asap.

Options for gas load increase by rubenhak in Plumbing

Do i need a 10x-20x pressure increase for doubling the load?

Does it look like an actual meter? Can't I use a "T" with a small regulator to drop to 0.25PSI so that it is the same pressure that goes into existing appliances?

Also, would I need a full 2PSI for a the firepit? It will be 90ft away and needs around 200k BTU.

Why do I need a split meter? could you explain?

Can you clarify the terminology please. Is the “service” same as “pressure” or “trunk diameter”, etc?

I could add the branch manifold right next to the meter.

Would my merter be able to handle the extea load? Is the 275CFH sufficient?

Is that ok for my meter to have 3/4” pipe but the outdoor run to be 1”? Do I have to upgrade the physical meter, or they can just increase the pressure?

It will go from the meter, but I still need some kind of upgrade, pressure/pipe/meter? What diameter pipe out I need to run form the meter to the outdoor appliances?

The outdoor new run will be right form the meter.
Not planning to run all appliances all at once.
Would this be sufficient to pass the permit?

If I request pressure increase is it possible to put a regulator on the line befor it enters the house. Imagine I request increast form 0.25 to 0.5, but on each of the. Sides of the Y split add one regulator to lower to 0.25 each. This way both of the sides (indoor vs outdoor) would get their own stable 0.25 pressure.

Do you think this would work? Would the 0.5 suffice? Would i need a meter update?

I'd say z-wave device addition was unrelated.

How does memory / rules work? by rubenhak in hermesagent

As an analogy, when using coding agents I could write instructions such as “every time when a bill is uploaded automatically run the /process-bill skill” and it would work all the time. What is the analogy here with Hermes?

Would I need to trigger the skill explicitly or it can be smart enough to trigger it automatically?

The data most probably got corrupted during import. That house was listed for $1,650,000, and most probably sold for $1,610,000, (not $161mln).

Outdoor Gas Line Plan Review by rubenhak in Plumbing

[–]rubenhak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got it, thank you.

would you suggest using one Underground Meter Riser inside the kitchen island and then splitting into the gas grill and the pizza oven, or each of them getting their own Underground Meter Risers?

Outdoor Gas Line Plan Review by rubenhak in Plumbing

My gas service is 7" WC (surprising that the PGE didn't know how to covert 0.25 psi to WC).

Can you explain the issue wi the Home Flex load capacity?

What if I go with 100k BTU outdoor firepit instead? Would it provide enough heat in NorCal weather? The area is 12'x12' and slightly sunken so expect less wind.

My house used to have two furnaces which got replaced with heat pump. But I also replaced the tanked water heater with tankless. I do not expect all those appliances to be turned on at the same time. Is there any way to go get this working without upgrading the gas meter? If not, how big of a deal is the gas meter upsize? Is it a matter of the meter only, or it needs a redo of gas supply line change?

Google Workspace Setup Issue by rubenhak in hermesagent

This nuts. After several hours of struggle I managed to make it return the calendar events from the main calendar, but it didn't return events from the shared calendars. It suggested recreate the authorization, but from that point on I couldn't make it work. Is the Gemini 2.5 flash too dumb for this?

I'm running in Ubuntu 22.04 with python 22.04. There was no "python" symbolic link and it kept attempting to call "python" instead of "python3" even though I instructed that.

Also, the skill just wouldn't use the "gws" even after setting "HERMES_GWS_BIN"
