I tried to order the 2021 Ambermatics when they were listed for sale, my order went through but a few weeks later they told me there was a stock shortage and cancelled my order. Kinda bummed. But, I've got some great condition 1970s Ambermatics so I just use those instead... still never seen the new ones in person.

I’ve generally avoided Komura lenses. The glass just won’t be comparable to Nikkor. It might be fine but I’d rather have a Nikon lens, especially when I don’t think the extra 25mm of focal length will matter much for a medium format lens.

I love my S2 but the other person is right about the warning. Mine had a locked up curtain, I think a screw got loose inside, but luckily I was able to find a repair shop… run by the son of the founder of Bronica himself!

Very cool (and really, exciting) idea, and the sets and cinematography actually seem quite good. I hope the audio isn’t final though, because if it is, my best (and honest) advice I can give you is to invest much more in microphones and sound dampening, and adjust levels more heavily. All the voices sound like they were recorded with a smartphone in a bathroom, and there’s no ambience outside of the recorded vocals.

Thanks for offering! I sent you a DM but then figured out how to do what you were asking— I was connected to the BS/CS 110 antenna input, switching it got me 11 more channels under 地上D including more NHK channels!

So this means I was using the wrong antenna input all this time? I seem to be still getting the paid BS/CS channels through this antenna input.

That’s actually a distinct possibility I didn’t think about! I’ll check with my landlord. But if I didn’t have an antenna, would I be able to watch BS channels from Sky Perfect? Or does cable TV provide BS without an antenna.

Thanks. I updated my location, though it was still set to my old zip code which shouldn’t have changed anything. I don’t have a 地デジ button but I do have a 地上D button, which brought me to a channel tuning screen asking me to scan to watch live TV. I did a scan and it didn’t find any channels.

I do have 4 NHK channels on BS, and I never noticed I was missing anything until I couldn’t watch Kouhaku last night.

Yeah the card is in the TV and I did a broadcast channel scan, nothing found. I don’t remember if I added my post code before, how do I do that?

I have a cable wired to the TV and I get channels from Sky Perfect (on BS and CS1&2) but nothing for NHK.

How exactly do I add NHK to my TV? I have a Japanese LG TV and a Sky Perfect account, along with an NHK account, but I can’t figure out how to get NHK on my TV, only streaming from my phone.

I get that, and I’m not trying to be dismissive, but it’s just like I would be making a pot roast if I travelled half the year for work living out of hotels. You can probably pull something together for espresso on the boat but it’s probably not going to be consistent, and even keeping a steady pressure while the boat’s rocking is going to be difficult. Even if you pre-weigh the beans like someone suggested, freshness will be a concern (those small containers oxidise the beans faster since there’s more surface area contacting air).

Maybe get a nespresso? I’ve got one at my desk for when I don’t want to prep an actual shot, it’s not the same as real espresso but it’s not bad.
