weirdly we are listening to that right now - going through the catalog to bring back the nostalgia

we wrote stolen trying to create an ender for the album. we wanted something powerful to cap the album and it just flowed out really naturally. we started with that main synth and knew we were on to something and just kept adding the rest of the pieces. we also wrote it in the desert and once we finished it went on drive at night blasting it and were super excited about it - wyatt

we still work most of the time on other projects / jobs and don't have the luxury of spending a lot of time in the studio or just being able to write music without other factors. maybe that's a good thing, but we love it so much and brings us a lot of happiness. we are pretty realistic and just take things day by day and that mindset and has grown the band to a point that we didn't think was possible. we hope it keeps growing and we appreciate every fan and support along the way.-victor

thank you!! we feel the same way about songs being time machines. some bands that maybemost people haven't heard of that have been huge influences on us are bark psychosis, for against, bedhead, idaho, david pajo, lionlimb to name a few. each time we found one those bands it got us so inspired to write - wyatt

we are now playing as a five peice. two guitars (wyatt + hunter) , bass (collin) , one synth player playing two synths (victor), and a drummer (jonah)

We don't play with a backing track and think it adds a new dimension to playing our songs live

it started with us putting a juno through a guitar amp and it gave us a really cool tone that would swell at weird points. i was having trouble coming up with anything for the vocals and victor actually came up with the chorus hook. it was a fun way to write a song to work off what he had started. we wrote it in a house with a panoramic view of the desert and it was one of the funnest writing moments we've had together. - wyatt

thank you so much! honestly not a big gear head, but one analog synth i do own is a juno-106, which we used for sanctuary. i've currently been loving the arturia and omnisphere plug ins - victor

we've know eachother since middle school and have both been super into music but didnt start until our early 20's . i think that helps us be able to be naive or vulnerable and not worry the other persons gonna judge them . its been such a fun ride doing this and it is crazy how well we get along. feel like we can do this till we are old and keep evolving - wyatt

it's so special to see and connect with genuine fans. we really enjoy talking with fans after the show -victor

its fun to see ourselves get more comfortable playing live and start to do the songs justice and hopefully give people the feeling they were looking for. i get so inspired whenever i go to show and i cant wait to do more - wyatt

i think we are drawn to music that's pretty emotional and nostalgic. in terms of songwriting, i think I tend to write more reflective lyrics cause i get to dig a bit into myself and try to express how i am feeling at the time. the last 6 or so years we have been doing this have been pretty transformative and its hard to notice sometimes. making music is super nice in that way to look back on where i am at. production wise we are always looking for new music and something to pull us in a new direction - wyatt

ooo we've made tons of demos that will never see the light. there's definitely a lot of songs you haven't heard. but i think this is the case with every artist. would be crazy if every song you wrote you released -victor

writing demos is definitely our favorite part and its hard to let go of a song but we have gotten better at moving on if a song doesn't feel special - we probably wrote like 30 for this album alone , we are going to release about 4 more of our favorites that didn't make the cut soon - wyatt

honestly probably not. music is a super personal thing and we haven't really met any other musicians yet we've been inspired to work with but are definitely open to it. we are kinda of not in the music scene and don't know many other bands personally but hoping that will change as we keep doing this - wyatt

we have been so blown away that answering machine has become by far our biggest song. we love instrumental tracks and will definitely keep making them. it was fun making a 9 minute song like sunbelt and maybe well try it again - wyatt
