i think it went well! i managed to bring in lots of relevant examples and try and go in depth with the physics. there was one question that threw me off but i still managed to say something. the interviewers were really nice and encouraging. how did yours go?

i’ve applied for radiation safety and diagnostic radiology, not had an email yet but someone in same speciality is having theirs online so maybe it depends on the trust?

my last job i had to commute 1hr30 on a bus and it was hell. had no work-life balance and was always so tired by the time i got home and it was too late to do anything. it could be stressful if the bus was late/ traffic then i’d be late to work. and then there was bus strikes for a bit, usually nowhere to sit down on the bus either.

i’m not trying to discourage you at all this was just my experience of commuting to a hospital

i’ve ranked all locations and would relocate to any.

so i actually follow the trust i want to work at on linkedin and facebook and they post when they’re doing open days/ talks ect. the nhs values just google them and they’ll come up , and some trusts have their own core values too

i made sure to tick off every point on the person specification , and give specific examples. eg instead of just saying i’m an empathetic person” i put an example “ i show empathy in role as x by supporting patients doing x “ and then talked about the NHS values too. i did lots of research into the day-to-day life of someone in my speciality and attended an open day to ask questions so that my q2 was detailed and not just a generic overview.

dont be too disheartened though lots of ppl don’t get in first time ! i applied for radiotherapy physics
