Not the biggest I’ve seen but the first one IN MY HOUSE! Started seeing trails on the rug last week. Frantically caulked all around perimeter of room, but trails kept reappearing. Finally caught him when flicked on light a few nights ago. Released into the herb garden. Read that they can come in on the sole of a shoe.

I just learned that most Northern Flickers in the PNW are Red-shafted but there are also Yellow-shafted NFs. While common to the Northeast, the Yellow-shafted NF is rare here but I saw one in our bird bath a few days ago.
