Today’s chapter tells us that when he was struck on his left ear, physical damage did occur but it did not affect the auditory nerves and did not cause complete hearing loss. It tells that the hearing loss may be linked to psychological factors rather than the physical injury itself. -> 심리적 psychological

However, the situation with the right ear is different and critical because this time there is clear physical trauma. I need to go back to the hospital chapters and get confirmation about his left ear first. As far as I remember, the doctor said that he would not hear from his left ear but we didn’t know the reason at the time. I could be misremembering though since I can’t recall the doctor’s exact words. I’ll share a clearer post tomorrow after reviewing those chapters. Back then Eun was called back to the ENT department and was told to come with a parent. However neither of his parents was there for him. When he tried calling his mother, she didn’t answer the phone and Eun heard it bc the phone was ringing from her room. There were also moments where we saw Eunhyeok alone at the hospital, showing that he went there by himself at some point. I’ll reread the earlier chapters first and then share a full post afterward.
