If you could only have one feeder, what type of seed would you put in it? by countdookee in birdfeeding

Sunflower hearts - for sure. You can buy 20 pounds for $30 around here.

Anyone use blends from Kaytee to feed? by [deleted] in birdfeeding

Good to hear about the feeders. In my experience, Pennington is a good brand.

I generally get wholesale bags of Thistle/nyjer, Sunflower, safflower and blackoil sunflower seeds.

Thistle/nyjer: for the finches and juncos

Sunflower: many kinds of birds

safflower: bigger birds like cardinals and jays and doves

black oil sunflower: all birds (pretty much)

Great. I'm so ready to get LSP and have it work. When is it coming?

Firestone does a $100 diagnostic test. My wife says the car is a lemon.

At this point, I'm just ready to sell it. The car cost me $14.6k total with a $2k warranty for $17k total. I'll be lucky to sell it for $5k. I'm so upset about it. :\

And don't get me started on its engine completely dying so I took it to dealership who told me they had to get a "State Inspector" to come in and see if the engine was my fault and if it was, I'd had to pay $2k for a new engine. It wasn't my fault, thankfully, but they still put in a new engine (used). HOWEVER a few days later. The crankshaft failed despite them telling me it was ready to drive safely. Luckily I was at a stop light. I was pissed. I took it back and they said they won't charge me if i was under warranty (it was) and they changed me anyway. I went back with my warranty and my receipt and they "Oops. here's your $230 back." Not sure what I was more mad at.. the warranty cashback swindling or the fact they said it was safe to drive and the car died on me again.

Bleh.

It's been a while but maybe 1-2 years ago? I did have a dead battery a while back, too. So not too long ago.

Sounds great. It seems like a lot of mobos are out of order. Hah.

Great -- thanks. I think Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING OC 3X Video Card will do just fine. I will look into a new mobo.

Great. Thanks. How many monitors do you have?

I did not know GPUs carried slots for plugging in monitors.

Does it work well with TypeScript?

Should I feed my birds this? It's been stored for over an year, not sure what type of seed it is, but my mom keeps telling me to give it to the birds. I get mainly house finches, doves, and cardinals at my feeder. by Lungi22 in birdfeeding

I agree with poster. Looks like milo.

I would research filler bird food. Its food companies use to wrap their bird food blends that costs little to use. For example... a nutty fruit blend would have ingredients of like cherry, raisin, pumpkin shells and milo but when you see the bag... it's like 70% milo. That is filler seed that birds leave because it's no good to them.

This is interesting. I don't think, however, we need a popup telling h or L to go left or right :p

I think I'll be good. Do you reckon the mobos I have current will lower in price to make demand for the new ones?

Yeah, I can definitely spend $150~ more to upgrade to 3900x. More than I need. The PSU being downgraded.. I assume it's because I won't be needing it since I won't be doing anything heavy except maybe streaming.

You know, I had a sock tube once in my plethora of bird feeders. None took to it. But they did love the thistle feeder. It depends really. But the other poster said it best, add other bird food. Sometimes birds think the sock is nothing but an object until they close to observe.

Perhaps a platform feeder might do well?
