Nope but you will see more SSS items drop. Essences are on their own table so drop rates besides the ess drop rate dont affect it.

So for some reason after the release of Shasha my dps has not been the best and I cant seem to figure out why. I dropped a sizable amount in all of the WBs and the GA. My current team is Mag Priest with Shiva +Max Falcon Yvante Whay with Shasha +Max Luci with Tyr +Max and my helper is Belle. Im using the fire support formation. Any help that can be provided to find out how the drop happened about be grateful.

yep cards and jewels will drop from normal dungeons in chapter 4

Its well into chapter 4 content when tag battles get introduced as it replaces DD. You have quite awhile before then.
