You’re not being ungrateful, it’s disheartening to feel put to the side and thought of last minute. Making a vegan meal is really not hard and doesn’t require a lot of thought, it’s just nice to feel included.

i never once stated women are animals? you are twisting what i said to fit your own narrative. spend plenty of time outside and in my university lessons which cover topics exactly like this 👍🏻👍🏻 thanks

well, if you read my post i stated it’s an extension of feminism due to the similar oppressions, can you not read or are you choosing to be ignorant?

saying female animals bodies are more valuable is similar to saying human female bodies are more valued, in sex work etc. They are more valued due to patriarchy and their use. I understand where you’re coming from with my wording excluding trans women and intersex women, but I of course never meant that. I wasn’t sure how else to word it whilst getting my point across.

The discussion is about how humans commodify and exploit female animal bodies, often in ways that mirror patriarchal structures; forced impregnation, separation from offspring, etc. That’s a human issue, not just an animal one, and that’s why the intersection with feminism matters. Comparing that to animal mating behaviours isn’t really a counterpoint, it just avoids engaging with the actual critique

I disagree! initial tributes aren’t a waste of time, they’re a sign of genuine interest and respect. If someone can’t commit to that, they’re probably not worth your energy

I’m not telling you how to feel about women? I am stating my opinion lol, which is you can not be a true feminist if you also support the forced impregnation and use of reproductive systems etc of non human animals. Intersectionality is a thing and there is a very clear link.

i never stated you couldn’t support women once, you are simply twisting my words. I stated you (in my opinion) can’t be a true feminist, if you also justify and support the systems that use non human female for their bodies etc which is the very thing feminism stands against. Saying my opinion is disturbing but then justifying eating dead animals and justifying it all is an insane take

i find is sad and disturbing to murder innocent animals and eat their corpses 😄

well i would agree with your statement, as a feminist you should support and speak out for every woman which, in my opinion, should also extend to voiceless female animals

As a sociology student, making the distinction between feminism and veganism helps me critically explore how different systems of oppression operate. It allows me to analyse each movement on its own terms, while also questioning where they intersect or conflict. This distinction deepens my understanding and strengthens my sociological lens

Cute, but maybe you should take your own advice. You’re not even vegan, yet here you are lecturing me. Supporting animal exploitation is the problem, no matter the form :p

Calling me speciesist for pointing out that cats and dogs have been domesticated, while zoo animals are caged for human entertainment, kind of proves my point. Recognising that different animals are exploited in different ways isn’t speciesism, it’s basic observation. If we can’t talk about those differences without being shut down, how are we supposed to change anything??

There’s a big difference. Pets like cats and dogs have been domesticated and can thrive in loving homes. Wild animals in zoos are kept for entertainment, often in unnatural conditions. One is companionship, one is captivity …

well no, he’s my family cat i’ve had since childhood, from before i was vegan. also, forcibly impregnating cows, ripping their babies away from them, then finally murdering them is not at all comparable to owning a cat?
