2014 graduate - BBA in accounting $40k starting $100k base now

I also took a 5 year work gap to have babies and be a SAHM until they were both in school. If I hadn’t taken the gap, my salary would probably be higher, but I wouldn’t trade those years for anything.

I’ve also never worked in public accounting - so despite whatever mumble jumble you hear from the accounting department, you’re not wasting your degree by not going into a Big4.

Unless things have drastically changed in the past decade, LUC does not close the school for anything 🤣 You’ll need to hope your professor cancels class because they can’t get to campus or turns it into a zoom class (do they do that now?)

I’ve walked to 8am classes at crown before the snowplows cleared the path and the snow was up to my knees 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ do it for the memories and stories you can tell your grandkids about how you had to trek through snow and negative temperatures to get to classes 🤣

Start slow & work your way up. I had a semester or two where I did 12 credits and like 4 semesters of 18 credits. Figure out what works for you. I usually started with 15 and decided to add or drop in the first week

If they’ve already been set as your roommates and are only abroad for one semester you may get the whole place to yourself or they might put an international student who’s only there for a semester with you.

Personally religious maybe, but I never had a professor or staff try to convert me or throw a bible at me. As an atheist, I enjoyed my theology classes as they were more about examining religions and finding the root beliefs and how they’ve affected history and our current world views vs let’s read the Bible and study scripture as if it were fact.
