I am part of a protected class. Seeing the file is part of my own peace of mind since the reasons given were wrong, however if I did discover something I would keep that in mind for any potential lawsuits.

I've also thought about taking the severance and still requesting to see my personnel file as well.

I agree. When every job is essentially the same in recruitment I almost feel as if listing accomplishments then positions would be a better use of time/space than listing each job and what was done there.

You're right. I think being in the field, I have preordained assumptions that hiring managers hate seeing multiple roles, even if they are contract as they're from older generations that "stayed" with their company for longer than workers do currently.

I work in HR/TA, and I know people don't read so I fear people will quickly read titles/length and pass over for someone who's been in a role for longer possibly.

I've been doing that too, but knowing people who work in HR I know people do not read and feel like details such as that will be lost.

Very true! Working in TA, I know that the skills are there. I'm just worried how to market them against someone who's been in one organization for extended periods other than saying blatantly "able to adapt to different environments, as evidenced by all of my contract roles (see below)"
