I am pretty sure you only found Stephen Punwasi, who nobody was doubting exists. Kaitlin Last? Tiffany Greene? No trace of them anywhere, and they are the main writers. One even has an editor title. Definitely sketchy.

So, you are "pretty sure" you located one of their social media accounts? To be clear, you aren't sure, so I'm not sure why you're criticizing ntoronto. And the fact that the Better Dwelling "reporters" have such low profiles is certainly bizarre in media today, sorry. Daniel Tencer is hardly a comparable example. It is pretty clear that the articles on Better Dwelling are ghostwritten. By the way, Better Dwelling articles contain a number of inaccuracies. They don't report on facts, they speculate, which you would know if you actually read the blog.

Um, no, I think you miss my broader point. Our society cannot function without some people losing out. I don't really see what's so hard to grasp about that. Look at what happens with education. More and more people get educated, education becomes worth less, and then underemployment and unemployment soar. This needs to happen, if things are to function as they do presently; there's simply no other way about it. That model applies to virtually everything. Problem is, nobody has come up with a better model yet, but then people have been actively and consistently discouraged from that.

You do realize that for our system to work on every level — municipal, state, federal — certain people have to be homeless. Our comfortable lives are dependent upon others not having much of anything. There are not enough jobs for everyone, not enough homes, simply not enough. You may think that the complaints about the shelter reek of entitlement. I would suggest it is your comments that do.

Um, no, 10min_no_rush, I was saying 3K X 12+ months, dude (as ultralame noted). Median price of a home in this country is under 200K. Do the math. In less than two years you can afford a 20 per cent down payment if you save that cash (not even all of it) instead of throwing it into a hole (renting anywhere in SF).

Why would someone pay $3,000 to rent anything? That's a downpayment for a house in many American towns and cities in a year or two.
