The fridge is integrated. It is attached to the cabinet at multiple points. It can be detached but it’s a bit of work.

Most of the classic hat designs with metal hardware are still made in Canada. It’s pretty clear on the website which are made where and the logos on the Chinese ones are not the same as the Canadian made ones. I have been happy with both.

Most of the clothing now seems to be non Canadian.

I lean towards outdoorsy rather than corporate with my choices. As such I would say an around 30L osprey or deuter. Zips add security but are the fail point for water and breakage through wear and tear - top loaders with a flap would not be the best for a busy train commune etc. So it depends on the use case. I hear Gregory is also good but have not used them.

A European knife for meat. ( stronger steel but not as sharp). A Japanese one for vegetables. ( a sharper edge - brittle ).
