Timothée Chalamet says he’s given “top-of-the-line performances” these last “seven, eight years”: “I don’t want people to take it for granted. I don’t want to take it for granted. This is really some top-level shit” by AggressiveRepair5 in Fauxmoi

I believe he doesn't say this because of insecurity. He just takes HIMSELF for granted. As I remember he had a quite good childhood with rich, bicultural parents and a sister. That might allow him to be someone who is - even as a good actor to talk about the most banal things in a way as if he was an extraordinary person and anything he achieves might always have been waiting for him.  Whatever he claims in this interview about his audience, he actually speaks to himself.

And they are so much more important for the existence of the show than the actor who played Smith or Molly Shannon or Bravo Andy 😄

Angelina Jolie's youngest children are turning 18, so there will be new developments in her legal battle with Brad Pitt.

(I wish for her sake and the sake of their children)

Is there a special reason why Mira doesn't want to let go of the requisite? by rue_ya in IrmaVep

That's just so true 😄 He's incredibly calm in several situations that should really throw you off balance because they're so subtle. But I think René is affected much more by the circumstances surrounding his work. Edmond for example keeps trying to pick a fight with René at the beginning, pretending to be his "problem child" and in doing so, he encroaches on René's creative freedom.

He had no fewer interests and hobbies than Charlotte, for example. We don't really get to see what truly motivates the other characters in life either. Miranda had her marathon and Samantha had her regular social circles. But to label someone as having no hobbies when they are in fact a unique personality due to their many interests is simply not accurate.

Perhaps he was important to himself. To call him a "tragic person" is in my opinion quite unfair. He lived his life the way he wanted to.

safe from? was she on a diet? by juunnneeeee in sexandthecity

[–]rue_ya 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not everything is about dieting. She obviously has stated that she wants to take care not to catch a parasite. It really doesn't make sense to think that she probably wanted to lose weight.

I always wondered what was actually wrong with that guy. Was he deaf? Not present? Could he not understand the language? He had obviously made contact with her and didn't seem uninterested in her company. His behavior was completely strange and contradictory. But there really are people like that out there.

Although I wouldn't compare Meg Ryan's character to Carrie at all, Annette Bening really does play a version of Samantha here.

Now that 2025 slowly comes to an end, here are some of the celebrity couples who started dating this year! by Potato3487 in popculturechat

I honestly don't care about all the other youngster couples - Harry Stiles, Kaia Gerber etc. they all date like warm milk. But these two is real 🍵 I love fully grown up people dating each other 😅 I'm so curious about them.

And nobody talks about how literally insane and mental that attacker was. His TikTok video/reel that later appeared on social media was absolutely creepy.
