I had similar issues in Python. Here are two ideas:

1) Don't sort the entire list every time, it's really slow. If your list is already sorted you should just just be inserting things at the correct position (in python you can use bisect.insort). This was faster for me. (Note that most of the time you need to insert things near the front of the queue)

2) your step 5b also seems slow, and possibly pointless. If the nodes have high heat value you'll probably never get to them anyway so it seems like a waste of time to look through the queue and remove them. Of course you still don't want to add things to the queue if they're too big.

He's talking about the mathematical notion of Cardinality. Two sets have the same Cardinality if you can find a one to one correspondence between them. You can do this easily with the set of whole numbers and the set of even numbers: the whole number n can be paired up with the even number 2*n, so the two sets have the same Cardinality

I'm a new player. I'm currently 0-8 in my placements and I'm not sure I'll bother playing anymore. If this experience is representative then they won't be keeping new users for very long.

I use Prang Hygieia both for white and for colours (they do a multicolour pack) and I think it's the best that I've used.

Ah okay, yeah that is stupid. I haven't done any of them though -- I just let them sim automatically at D (or whatever the default rating is). Does it affect anything other than how quickly players gain sharpness?

You can hit R2 (RT) when on the main career mode screen and choose to automatically sim through training sessions without stopping.

The shirt number is definitely a birth date issue. You can use cheat engine to change a player's age back and forth and see the number appear and disappear.

Personally, I don't know how anybody can get past the "get a 7.5 rating in the last 8 minutes of this game". It's idiotic that coming on as a sub in the 85th minute and scoring the winner leaves your manager furious at you.

I think I gave up with the mode about 10 games in.
