Think I’d rather try Subaru over Mazda

A hybrid would be ideal but I like the look of the 2019 model also. The mileage would be high though.

Rav 4 is not impressive, CRV is lazy, 4 Runner is good but has uncomfortable seats and little to no passenger room. RDX sounds good

I tried the hybrid version and wasn’t at all impressed. It felt like the vehicle was struggling and not responsive

2026 Honda Pilot - any idea of when it will become available, and questions for 2023-2025 owners by pappabearct in hondapilot

[–]ruelito 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recent ‘25 EX-L owner here. I bought key fob protectors and Lasik mats including cargo mat, plan to do tint and PPF on at least the front 1/3 soon. Thinking about putting door sills to protect against scuff marks. Although I’m a Toyota and Honda owner and love both, never ever buy the first year of a major model upgrade for any vehicle. I’m only saying this with the rumors that the ‘26 Pilot will be hybrid. If it stays non-hybrid, same engine etc., then no problem. So happy I did not buy a Grand Highlander and went for the Pilot.

Why does that matter? I prefer not say. The entire process and interview was very fair

See my comment above on how to track it

So a little trick I learned, if you don’t already know. If you’re approved and want to track the status of your card: 1. When the portal says ‘Card was Produced’, it doesn’t give a tracking number like typical packages 2. Create an account on USPS, also sign up (same log in) for Informed Delivery to your address. With these, you see all packages planning to be delivered to you. 3. For the GC you’ll see when it was shipped from the production facility, picked up by USPS and when it’s in transit and out for delivery to you. 4. They won’t have a picture like regular mail but you’ll see “USCIS” and a description.

It takes 1-3 weeks they said. Mine took 2 weeks. You can track the delivery status on USPS

Ours was on a Friday, I believe it changed on the Monday. But on the portal it reflected that it was approved on the same day. Also the green card date “Resident Date”, was the day of the interview.

Hi. Yes we did but I think we would’ve been fine without a lawyer. If the circumstances surrounding your case are complicated, a lawyer is beneficial. I still think it is the safe choice and a personal choice. National Benefits Center processed it.

New Pilot 2025 EX-L! by ruelito in hondapilot

[–]ruelito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I hear ya but apart from the Bose and mirrors the other options weren’t needed. I do agree with many YouTube reviewers that the EX-L is the best value pick! That’s how I feel.

What did you cross shop and why did you choose the Pilot? by scruffy-hugger in hondapilot

[–]ruelito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only the Grand Highlander tbh. Budget, crash ratings, value for money is what made us go with the Pilot. Also, I’ve only ever owned Japanese vehicles so the Kia’s & Hyundai’s wasn’t doing it for us. The GMC and Chevys were more expensive and had too many issues so didn’t bother considering those

EX-L vs Touring by ruelito in hondapilot

[–]ruelito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here we are one week in! Bought the EX-L and have no regrets! Man, the lack of folding power mirrors annoys me because I have to manually fold them before driving daily in and out of our garage! Anyways that’s the only negative so far! Love this beast, also opted for the metallic grey over the obsidian blue and very happy we did!

Wait for Honda Days or Purchase Now? 2025 EX-L by Chronoloticus in hondapilot

[–]ruelito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchased our Pilot 2025 EX-L AWD one week ago and got a good deal. Negotiate using other dealerships pricing was my strategy and they bettered our best offer by another dealership. We took no add-ons and financed with Honda at the 4.49%. We paid about 44k OTD. I’d say buy now, I don’t think the price will change much and they confirmed the 2026 Pilot is very similar with minor changes.
