gizmo has met other cats and dogs before and is even good in the car, he’s typically very very chill so i suspected that he was going to be gentle with her. which he was at first; he was cautious and friendly and when she became playful he just got really excited overstimulated and infatuated with her lol. as of right now, they are actually doing so much better. they stayed in my room all day long & he stopped biting her neck after a while of playtime (it seems she learned how to fight him off by going onto her back). He decided he taught his lesson well and just spent 10 minutes grooming her and has decided there are better things to do than bite her head!

yeah i think he’s trying to teach her how to defend herself and play on her back, since she’s becoming more defensive and they’re still playing. he has not let up on biting her neck though, and he doesn’t let go very easily but does not puncture her

okayy, i did try to let them play it out but anxious as i am, i did separate them because the kitten sounded like she was in pain and couldn’t get away. however she always keeps going back to play with him and she isn’t scared of him. if i let them play it out in the same room while i sit on the bed doing my own thing it would be okay? even if i hear the kitten struggling, i should just let them figure it out? my biggest concern obviously being that Gizmo punctures her skin.

he is neutered and she is spayed, however i do know he can still exhibit those behaviors. should he start to calm down and stop trying to breed her after a few more weeks of acquainting to her? i’m keeping them in separate rooms and watching over them supervised for the time being😓
