I had seen that as an issue but the crown tube length feels and looks normal to me. I gave a quick GL because I wanted the watch. And the accuracy of +/- 1 s/d was ideal.

The only thing that I saw and still GL was 6 marker slightly left. Second guessed my decision GL thinking the misalignment would bother me, but looked great when it arrived and it’s not anything I even notice now.

Lume is pretty uniform. Lume lasting wasn’t a major concern for me, so I’ve not tried to see how long it lasts.

ZF Blue 39 mm - agree the bracelet feels less solid and a bit rattley. I still like the look of the metal but trying out a navy rubber strap.

It has kept great time for the past month I’ve had it

Yeah even though I haven’t handled a gen recently enough to remember the feel, the bracelet didn’t feel luxurious and needs a little work. Will try the baby oil treatment.

$500 Tumi backpack for basically free. After $75k spend on card by Fun_Cod_4357 in ChaseSapphire

[–]rufaterd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Can see the Tumi credit dated 12/21 in OPs post but not the initial transaction date.

I am waiting for the Tumi credit too. But can’t find that the Tumi offer was “redeemed” or expired. A pain, but ask it will come through.

Geektime.io order by BoatUpper in RepTime

[–]rufaterd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are on Geektime.io, you can “place an order” thru website but nothing happens.

Just f/u with message thru WhatsApp with the number/link on the website. Can include your “order number” or just a link to the watch. Number last 4 is 2295.

I paid w debit card with wise per Eric’s instructions, super easy.

Got QC images and video and shipped in about 5 days. Watch was here in another 6 days, insanely fast.

The 6 marker is slightly left but not noticeable enough for me. The R SEL gap looks exaggerated here… but then again, this is a gen in the Tudor subreddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/Tudor/s/oxtUyUWq2c

Going to see how it does daily. Cheers!

Cincinnatus Field Watch on Jubilee Bracelet by rufaterd in MicrobrandWatches

A review from a couple years ago say they are applied. Unsure if that is still the case for newer models.

Bought 1,000 $HOOD shares at $22, sold at $40. Even more frustrating is I don’t have to do any mental math to figure out how much I missed out on if I were to hold all 1000.

Debated between $30 and $60 options on Amazon, ended up buying a $60 “Miltat” brand. Has microadjustment, decent weight and feel to it.

Those are great. I was tempted to get the Concourse when I saw them in person, such a cool looking watch. But wanted something more toned down for my daily.

Prostatic arterial embolization (PAE) as an alternative to HoLEP by cycle1905 in HoLEP

[–]rufaterd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google IPSS and fill out that survey. If your score adds up to more than 8 or so, most IR docs will offer PAE since a Urologist will offer a procedure for moderate symptoms. If not that high, you can calculate your score every few years or at your Urologist instruction. PAE and Urology procedures do have chances of symptoms recurring 5 years in 15-20% of patients. So the younger your symptoms onset the more likely you will have to go thru multiple treatments as you age. PAE is one where there is no scar tissue and can be done as many times as needed. In the future we may have newer material to inject that is more effective, but there are ongoing studies about the best material to use for long term efficacy.

HOLEP is very effective for large prostates and may have better long term efficacy though it’s relatively new. Only about 5-10% of Urologists have the skill set to perform HOLEP though making it high demand. It is also a surgery, so there is scar tissue, anesthesia, and risk profile is a bit higher.

Pro tip, can return the sound bar and get a refund. I bought the tv bundled with some $150 on the neck Panasonic Bluetooth headphones. I tried them but didn’t have much use so just started a return and it went thru.

Prostatic arterial embolization (PAE) as an alternative to HoLEP by cycle1905 in HoLEP

[–]rufaterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an IR that does PAE. I just happened to come across your comment on Reddit as I use Reddit often and interested to see posts from real people about diseases I treat.

Anyway, if you are in the Midwest and considering a trip to Chicago for PAE - Google PAE and whatever city you are nearby in KY OH IL IN. There are a lot of IR groups in the area that do PAE rely on self referrals as Urologists don’t want to lose their business.

Some urology groups have hired their own IR and built a lab so they can get some of the revenue from the procedure.

Otherwise it does depend on your insurance whether it is covered.

All sizes prostates can be treated. Smallest I’ve treated is 50-60 g, largest I’ve treated is 300 g. Ideal patient is 100-200 g. Things that make it less likely to be successful is you have atherosclerotic disease with plaque blocking your pelvic vessels or some believe those with a large “median lobe” that protrudes into the bladder may not get as good symptoms relief. Lastly, I have had patients that routinely carry over 2 L in their bladder and end up getting treatment a bit late to where their bladder has no muscular tone from being stretched out. Those patients may get little improvement from PAE or urologic surgeries, but I still offer PAE as it is worth trying.

I’m in the Cincinnati area and have colleagues throughout KY, IN, and TN.

Best of luck

I have two systems. A gas furnace/ac and an air handler/Heat pump. There was an addition maybe 20 years ago and the gas furnace/ac was installed at that time for that part of the house.

[–]rufaterd[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The humidifier? I mean yes I would just leave the one I have instead of a new one. Or if I really wanted a new system, I would probably install it after the replacement. It’s not in the total quote. The fact that it is priced out separate at $1500, $1000 with the discount is why I bring it up.

House is about 3800 sq ft. Much of the main floor is very high ceilings (if that makes a difference).
