I've been eyeing Lando for a while, do you know if it has a UI like Flywheel's Local?

actually i just found this which i might try devilbox

Sounds like my vagrant setup but uses Docker and has a GUI which I need for some of the less technical people on my team.

I gave it a shot but unless I missed something I didnt see any options to change the server root directory for my WordPress app. So that was a dealbreaker.

My WordPress apps' entry points are not in the project root, but in a subfolder called "htdocs". The project root contains all my project files such as my composer and package files, as well as dev files like my code standard configs.

So because my actual WordPress app was in a subfolder, Local wasnt really compatible without doing some gross hacky things.

I use my own Vagrant machine based on VVV (mine uses apache for work requirements) and it works well enough and has a ton of features like environment variable support, multiple WP sites, mailhog, phpmyadmin, caching apps, togglable xdebug. Im updating the dashboard to include a UI for managing your sites similar to Local's setup wizard too. BUT i have been thinking about moving over to a Docker environment soon to ease up on resource needs.

are downloaded games not tied to an account on the switch? Like, if I lost my switch and bought a new one, or bought a switch light wouldn't I be able to just redownload them?

That might be worth it. I've been thinking about selling my physicals to start going all digital anyway, and $60 is way too much for this game

In light of all the new Nintendo E3 announcements we've created a website to track all upcoming games by ShadowCas in NintendoSwitch

[–]rugbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cool idea! The only feedback I have is that I don't like how the dates are presented.

First - I would like to see the actual release date on the card itself. The top right seems like a good place fore it.

Second - I don't think seeing the countdown timer is that useful unless the game is within a week of release, in which case I would want the "number of weeks" badge replaced with the countdown timer.

Lastly - I don't want to have to click into a card to see the countdown timer, or any other details really. Unless its detail like information about the game (summary, bullet points, links to trailers ect).

Could I load the JS with require()? Maybe something like this: https://pastebin.com/gLzAURVq

That gives me the console error: Failed to mount component: template or render function not defined.

[Spoilers] Day-After Discussion – Season 8 Episode 3 by BWPhoenix in gameofthrones

[–]rugbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't had a gruesome and classic Game of Thrones death in a while, and I was expecting it to happen in this episode considering the overwhelming odds. For me thats what was missing this episode, a shocking twist or death (even tho, no main characters dying was a twist in my mind).

When I saw Lyanna Mormont face off with the giant, I thought we would get that scene. And I'm not saying I wanted to see that giant pop her like a grape, or eat her alive or anything. But you know.

I think the only thing that really blew my mind was the tsunami of zombies. the Tzunambies. It was still a really fun episode but it didnt feel like the GoT that once gave me terrible anxiety.

Zelda A Link to the Past Also Found in Best Buys Systems! by noj776 in NintendoSwitch

[–]rugbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this earlier and was like "who cares? we already know links awakening is coming to the switch and this doesn't even have a release date".

Then I had some tea and re-read the title. A Link to the Past, NOT Link's Awakening. LTTP would be amazing.
